Food Technology College.
Placements: 4-5 students were placed, and a total of 28 students were in the class. The highest package was 5-6 LPA. The companies that were recruited were ITC, KLA, and Adani Wilmar. Internships were offered by Parle and Britannia. The roles in the course included quality officer, production officer, lab attendant, food technologist, and quality executive.
Infrastructure: Labs were the best of all. Classrooms were also good, and our college had the biggest library in Uttarakhand. The food was good, the rooms were good, and I had good friends. The hostel staff were also good. Every year, the university sponsored an athletic meet, and students from every college and hostel participated in the event.
Faculty: Professors were well-qualified and knowledgeable. Every semester was 4-5 months and a 5.0 CGPA was the passing percentage for every subject. There were 2 pre-finals and 1 lab final for each subject. Over the course of four years, we had more than 60 subjects, and every subject was good for food technologies.
Other: I chose this course because it sounds good, and after that, there are many opportunities in the food industry.

Versatile course with good opportunities, but needs more industry exposure.
Placements: According to me, there are only a few students who can get more than a 9CGPA in the B.Tech. The college placement is not that good.
Infrastructure: Being part of ECE department, we have access to well-equipped laboratories such as VLSI lab. Classrooms are not good enough and there is no Wi-Fi connectivity in the department. Hostel infrastructure is decent, with single, double, and triple sharing rooms, depending on the year of study.
Faculty: Teachers in the ECE department are almost temporary and only some professors are permanent. However, the teaching quality varied from professor to professor. While some delivered engaging and interactive, others relied more on traditional teaching methods. Professors have a personal beef with students according to their living style and other things. Faculty members does not support you for any of the activities.

College of Technology, Pantnagar.
Placements: 60 students are placed every year in Agricultural Engineering. The highest package offered in our course is 6 LPA, and the minimum package offered is 3 LPA. 20-30% of students get college placement and internships from the college itself.
Infrastructure: Labs are great in the college and the overall infrastructure of the college is quite great. There is a huge university library, that is open from morning 8 AM to 7 PM every day except on Sundays or on national holidays. Classroom are also spacious, but there is a blackboard in most of the classrooms, and a few of them are smart classrooms.
Faculty: All the teachers here are well-qualified and helpful in nature. The teaching quality is just average. Course curriculum was very hectic at my time, but the course curriculum has changed from the past year according to the new education policy that was from the last year.
Other: Pantnagar is one of the most famous government colleges in India and it is also famous worldwide as it is the number one college for agriculture in Asia. This was the first reason to opt for this college.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: The placement percentage in my college is below average because I am currently in my last semester, and so far. Only 7 out of 66 students in the mechanical engineering stream have been placed. The internship opportunities are also very average, and the top roles are not specified in my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my college is good in some areas, such as the library and the stadium, which are excellent. Facilities available include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and smart classes in every classroom. However, the hostel quality is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and experienced, but they are not very helpful in some aspects, such as assigning too many tasks during crucial exam periods. The course curriculum lacks practical applications, semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and grading is strict, following an absolute marking system.
Other: I am interested in mechanical engineering because I am curious to learn about mechanical mechanisms, such as IC engines, compressors, and turbine concepts. I want to improve the teaching quality in my college. The events and fests are not very good.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of its infrastructure and curriculum.
Placements: Placements are not that much good. The highest package ranges from 8 LPA to 10 LPA. The average package varies between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Only 30 to 40% of students get placed every year. Companies like TCS and Accenture hire students at very low packages. There are no chances for internships and exposure for students.
Infrastructure: The condition of infrastructure of the department is not that much good. It is too old however the condition of the hostels is pretty well including food and cleanliness. Wi-Fi is also available in the hostel. But hostel timing for girls are little strict. There is no canteen in the college or hostel area students have to go badi and choti market for need and to eat. It is a good place to play sports and for gym also for both boys and girls separately.
Faculty: Faculty members of electronics and electrical department are far better than other departments here. Teachers are too supportive and understanding of having one-to-one interaction with students. But there is a lack of little practical knowledge to get students industry-ready. Hence, the semester exams are little tricky for electrical and electronics students but you can score good with consistency.
Other: Electrical and electronics and communication is the best branch to study here.

I am dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: In our college, campus placements are very minimal. Till now, only 7 out of 66 students got placed in our college in mechanical engineering course. Packages are very low, and it varies between 4-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like LNT, ITC, etc., visit the college to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is average. There is a university library for the whole university that consists of seven colleges. In every department, there is also a separate small library for a particular department. Wi-Fi and air-conditioning facilities are provided by the university.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Sometimes, they are not helpful if we consider practical knowledge of the subject and this is due to less interaction between faculty members and students. The teaching quality can be improved. Semester exams are quite difficult to pass due to tough markings. The pass percentage is 50%.

The counselling process is for students who qualify for the GBPUAT Entrance exam. Then they need to pass the cutoff as well. During the counselling process, students need to accept their seat and pay the seat acceptance fee. It is suggested to prepare all the important documents in advance.

The GBPUAT cut-off is based on how students perform in the exam, the number of seats, and the reservation rules. If there are fewer seats and more students, the cut-off will be high. The university also looks at past years' cut-offs. There are separate cut-offs for General, OBC, SC, and ST categorie
