GBPUAT offers admission to BTech course based on JEE Main score. Except BTech in Food Technology and Biotechnology, the selection for all BTech specialisations is based on JEE Main. Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in UKSEE Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

GBPUAT offers M.Sc courses which accept the admission through CUET conducted by NTA and Entrance Exam conducted by University.

Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for admission to BSc (Hons) courses. The university also accepts ICAR AIEEA for Agriculture courses.
