What is ICAR AIEEA PG Exam?
ICAR AIIEA (PG) - All India Entrance Examination for Admission (Postgraduate) is a national-level entrance examination. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the ICAE AIEEA (PG) for admission to the Master's Degree programmes. This is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted once a year. Candidates who qualify the entrance test shall be eligible for admission to 74 Agriculture Universities, Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), and National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI). Central Universities, State Agriculture Universities, and Central Universities.

ICAR AIEEA PG examination will be conducted in 122 cities across the country. To enable participation of a large number of candidates seeking admission in Master's degree programmes in AUs in different disciplines of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary, Animal Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Community Science (erstwhile Home Science), Fisheries, Dairy Science and other allied sciences.
Students for 30 percent of seats in Master's degree programmes in AUs are admitted through AIEEA (PG). All (100 per cent) seats of the four ICAR-DUs namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) and CAUs, viz. ICAR AIEEA PG Answer Key 2026

Candidates can use the answer key to cross-check their answers and calculate probable scores. They can also challenge the wrong options in the answer key within the prescribed dates. ICAR AIEEA Answer key is released with the purpose of allowing exam takers to evaluate their expected scores and to challenge the answer key. However, the process to raise an objection is simple.
- Candidates need to visit the official website of the ICAR Exam.
- Candidates need to click on the objection link by using their login id and password.
- Go through the Answer key and ICAR AIEEA Question paper.
- Candidates need to submit the valid proof to support their objection along with the question number, and then they need to submit the answer key.
If the answer key is out on the official website, then all the exam takers need to visit the official website to go through the answer key to evaluate their expected ICAR Scores. In case candidates want to raise an objection, they need to submit an objection fee of INR 200.
Once the ICAR AIEEA Answer key is out, candidates who appeared for the exam get the opportunity for two to three days to raise objections against the provisional answer key.

The ICAR AIEEA Result will be announced in August 2026. The link to check the result of ICAR AIEEA 2026 will be updated online. Once the result is declared, the exam officials release the overall and merit/ Rank list for each subject, which is prepared by the exam conducting authority.
In case two students get the same marks in the ICAR AIEEA Entrance exam, then certain guidelines are followed, like:
(1) The student scoring less negative scores will be rated higher in merit.
(2) The candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit.
(3) The student with the higher score in percentage/CGPA in the class 12th exam would be rated higher in merit.

Candidates reporting for admission through ICAR AIEEA Exam, to the allotted university must have final year/final semester results in hand indicating final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks where grade points are not awarded. Candidates will be required to produce a Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) /Degree certificate of qualifying graduate examination issued by the university for this purpose. The candidates should note that the university may deny admission in case the PDC is not produced at the time of verification during counselling. No correspondence shall be entertained by the Council in this regard.
While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for ICAR AIEEA 2026. The efforts will be made to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choice opted by them in their ICAR AIEEA 2026 application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city or nearby area may be allotted.
Those who are Indian Nationals and are not below 19 years as of August 31, 2026, are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is acceptable about the minimum age limit. Students must check out the eligibility criteria of the exam before they apply for it.
The in-service candidates will qualify for admission only if they come in the overall merit list of their concerned Subjects and produce the Sponsorship Certificate/Declaration by their employer for verification at the time of counselling.
The in-service candidates must be working in ICAR Institutes, ICAR-DUs, SAUs, CAUs, CUs having faculty of agriculture, Central Government/State Government Departments dealing in Agriculture and Allied Sectors and Public Sector Undertakings dealing with Agriculture and Allied Sectors.
The in-service candidates qualifying for admission will arrange for study leave/leave of the kind due from their respective organizations themselves and ICAR will not intervene in this regard.
In-service candidates must retain the computer generated hard copy of confirmation page of the application along with Sponsorship Certificate, in original, for showing to the university officials in the event of their qualifying the examination and recommendation for admission to the concerned university.
In no case, the computer-generated hard copy of confirmation page of the application and Sponsorship Certificate (Declaration by the employer)should be sent by the candidate either to NTA or ICAR.
The counselling of in-service candidates seeking admission on seats reserved for the purpose at ICAR-DUs (ICAR-IARI, ICAR-IVRI, ICAR-NDRI and ICAR-CIFE) will be done at respective ICARDU level only. The entire application process of AIEEA (PG) is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including a Confirmation Page, Sponsorship Certificate/ Declaration by the Employer of the Candidate (By In-Service Candidate) to NTA/ICAR through Post/ Fax/ E-mail/By Hand.
No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. Education Qualification
- Based on the ICAR AIEEA eligibility criteria 2026, a student must have a UG degree, depending on the course they want to study.
- Students must score a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate.
- Students who have a 4-year BSc Agriculture degree (either 6-semester integrated or as per NEP).
- BTech degree or a BVSc & AH degree are eligible.
- Students who have a 3-year bachelor’s degree are not eligible for admission through ICAR AIEEA PG in Agricultural Universities under the ICAR-Agriculture system. However, there are two exceptions. Two ICAR Deemed Universities - IARI and NDRI - may allow students with a 3-year degree. Their own eligibility rules will be followed for admission.
ICAR AIEEA PG Age Criteria
- Applicants who have Indian citizenship and are a minimum age of 19 years are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is permissible regarding the minimum age limit.

The candidates having a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years duration will not be considered for admission through ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2024 in AUs under the ICAR-AU system except in a few courses at three ICAR-Deemed to be Universities (DUs), viz. IARI, IVRI and NDRI for which the eligibility criteria of the concerned ICAR-DU, including admission of graduates having passed with 3 years’ degree, would prevail for admission.
In case any degree from a particular college/university is not considered for admission by an Agricultural University on account of a particular college/university being derecognised by VCI/UGC, or due to any Court directives (present or future), ICAR will not be responsible for admitting students of that college/university in Universities not willing to admit such candidates.
Candidates reporting for admission to the allotted university must have final year/final semester results in hand, such as their final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks, where students do not get grade points. Candidate should know that for admission to Master’s degree courses through entrance examination, which is conducted by NTA, only the candidates having passed graduation with a four/six (12+4/10+6 BSc Ag/BTech)/five years (BVSc & AH)/5½ years (BVSc & AH) degree programme will be eligible.

ICAR AIEEA PG FAQs
ICAR AIEEA form correction date was from June 12 to 14, 2026. Once the correction window closes, no candidate is allowed to make any changes to their ICAR Application Form.
The NTA score is a percentile score of the candidate in the test in which he/she appeared. It indicates the candidate's position visà-vis others who appeared in it. It is not mark.

If two applicants secure the same marks then their merit and rank will be decided by the authorities following the below-mentioned procedure in the order.
