Goa University BSc admission is entirely merit-based for the year 2024. Yes, for admission to MA (except Wellness and Counselling) at Goa University, students need to qualify Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) entrance exam. It is a common in-house entrance exam conducted by the university itself for all PG courses. The marks/ percentage obtained by the candidate while graduating would only be used to ascertain the eligibility of candidates for the programme. The purpose of the GU-ART is only to rank the prospective candidates and not for determination of pass/ fail.
In order to get admission to Goa University, students need to graduate with respective subjects from a recognised university.
Goa University offers two-year courses of MBA (Regular) and MBA in Finacial Services. The university offers MBA courses through the Goa Business School. Candidates need to complete a bachelor's degree in relevant subject to apply for Goa University MBA programme. Graduate in any stream including Commerce, Science, Arts, Engineering, Management and Professionals like CS, CA, ICWA, CMA, CAIIB and CFA, who have completed their graduation from Goa University or any other recognised University in India or abroad are eligible to apply for MBA Financial Services.
The fee structure is different for different courses based on the stream and duration of the courses. Additional fees like that of hostels can also be added in the yearly fee structure if one opts for it. Once the admission cycle starts for any course, the university will give all the information about the fee structure on its official page.
If a student chooses to withdraw from any of the Goa University programme in which s/he is enrolled, the following five-tier system shall be followed for the refund of fees remitted by her/him. Find below the refund policy:

Goa University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. For admission to PG courses, the university conducts its in-house entrance exam, i.e., GU-ART, GU-QET-, GU-CLAT, etc. or accepts national-level exams such as CMAT/ ATMA for a course like MBA. Goa University admission cycle begin in May/ June with registration.
Goa University has record of providing placement assistance and job opportunities to its candidates. According to the NIRF report 2025, 60 MBA students were placed from the total 233 graduated batch 2024 with a median package of INR 3.09 LPA. In UG 3-year program, 4 students of the batch 2024 were placed with a median salary of INR 6.10 LPA.
Goa University conducts its entrance exam for some of the courses. These are GU-ART and GU-PET for PG and PhD programmes, respectively. The university also conducts GU-CLAT, GU-QET, GU-CSAT, etc. Besides this, Goa University also accepts national-level entrance exam scores. The university accepts CMAT/ XAT for MBA General and ATMA for MBA Financial Services. For admission to PhD programme, the university also accepts UGC NET/ SET/ JRF/ GATE/ GPAT scores.
For admission to MBA (Regular), students need to qualify either CMAT/ ATMA with a valid score. The final selection for both of courses is based on the performance of candidates in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds conducted at the university. Once selected, aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
Goa University offers various UG, PG and doctoral-level courses at campur or through affiliated colleges. The university offers UG courses such as BA, BBA, BSc, etc., while all the PG courses such as MBA, MSc, MCom, MCA, etc., are taught through various schools and departments at the university and affiliated colleges.
