No, GUJCET is not compulsory to get admissions into BSc courses at GTU Ahmedabad. The eligibility requirement to get admissions into BSc courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCB stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved category candidates). Additionally, for the admission process, the university releases the merit of shortlisted candidates on the basis of scores they have achieved in their Class 12/ Higher senior secondary. Moreover, there might be a chance that some of the affiliated colleges of the university accept GJUCET scores for admissions to BSc courses. 

The highest package offered to students at Gujrat Technological University is around 3LPA and the average is 2.1 LPA. The placement packages are not very good but are decent.
