Step 1: Gujarat University Application Process 2025

Gujarat University provides scholarships to the lower backward class or SC/ ST for better education and financial support. More than 30 scholarship schemes initiated by the Government of Gujarat are covered by Gujarat University. For developing high-quality research Government of Gujarat has initated a scheme called SHODH (scheme of developing high-quality research ) to offer  financial assistance to students doing qualitative research. Under this scheme, more than 1000 full-time research scholars awarded INR 15,000 per month and INR 20,000 contingency expense P.A. in the last five years. 

Gujarat University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university accepts students based on marks secured in the last qualifying exam followed by GCAS counselling for seat allotment. The eligibility criteria for admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate programme is different at Gujarat University. As per the basic eligibility criteria for admission to UG programmes, the candidates must have qualified class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum of fifty percent aggregate.
