Impressive infrastructure, value for money.
Placements: There are no placement facilities for forestry students as such. Students have to search it on their own. But the department is very supportive, they are trying hard to provide placement for the students. The department used to call the government companies and NGOs for placement. But that usually not meet the purpose.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, it is good. The new department building got opened in 2018. There are hostel facilities for both men and women. The men's hostel is big and it's divided into A & B block. The university campus is really big around 655 acres. It has Wi-Fi facility, smart classrooms, central and department library for students. There are laboratories for each course, unfortunately those are not functional. Hostel is good but the mess is not up to the mark. It is only vegetarian. And the monthly mess charges are very high. The quality of it is very bad when compared to the price. GGU has Health Care (hospital) where you can get primary treatment for free. The physical education department conduct sports and games annually. We get good exposure when it comes to games, teachers also encourage us. GGU has basketball court, badminton court and a big ground for athletes.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable except some teachers. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, students get a chance to work with Chhattisgarh forest department in final year. It makes the students industry ready.
Other: The course fee is very less as it is a central university. I chose this course because I did my B.Sc. in Forestry honors from SHUATS, UP. The best thing about this course is the course itself. This course provides knowledge and inspires students to save mother nature.

If you love nature very good course.
Placements: Our department would conduct different types of internships associated with FRI Dehradun and other places. They shared internship opportunities in other places. They also provided different certificate oriented programs to promote the skills of the students. Percentage of students getting placement was a minimum 75%. Mostly students were placed in different agricultural sites or wildlife structures.
Infrastructure: Campus life was really awesome. We had different types of clubs to promote their abilities. Dance drama singing & sports. We had our central library which had a huge collection of all types of books and journals. They had computers for the students to use the internet. We had free Wi-Fi in the university which was accessible to everyone. Hostels were good they were two seated. Many students do not get a hostel and they live in a PG.
Faculty: Faculty were very educated and professors still lack language skills. Most of the teachers take classes in Hindi when its a central university. Those who respected their teachers like a god were considered the best students. The exams would be 3 exams. Two internal and one main. The exam total marks were 100. I do not like my department head because he was so racist. Only care about Hindu students.

Good college and students.
Placements: The internship programme depends on students. There are many companies offering internships, like a wood factory, a milk factory, etc. Placements are very average. Some students get jobs in different forest departments. In the private sector, there are jobs in the milk factory as a quality analyst.
Infrastructure: There are two gyms in Koni where our university is situated. For the girls' hostel, the gate closes at 6:00 PM, and for the boys it's 9:00 PM. We have our central library, which has a huge collection of all types of books and journals. They have computers for the students to use the internet. We have free Wi-Fi in the university, which is accessible to everyone. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. Labs are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very educated, but still lack language skill, most of the teachers take classes in Hindi when it's a central university. Those who respect their teachers like a god are considered the best students. As for the exams, we have 3 exams. Two internal and one main. The exam total marks are 100.
