Admission to all the courses offered at the university is based on a departmental-level entrance exam conducted by  the Head of the (respective) Department offering the programme. GNDU. Guru Nanak Dev University offers BSc courses in multiple specialisations. To be eligible for pursuing these courses, an applicant must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 40% aggregate in relevant subjects. For some specialiations, the minimum aggregate required in Class 12 is 45%. The eligibility criteria for GNDU BSc (Hons) courses are different. Candidates pursuing a BSc (Pass) may be offered a BSc (Hons) in any one of the three elective subjects taken up by them, provided they have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned in the semester I and semester II examinations of the BSc (Pass) course.
