At the UG level, Hindustan University offers a four-year BTech course across 15 specialisations, including two specialisations, which are offered in collaboration with IBM. These specialisations are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, CSE (in collaboration with IBM), etc. These specialisations are further divided into multiple sub-specialisations.

Hindustan University offers a four-year BTech course. Apart from this students can also get direct admission to the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. The university offers two additional subject options in collaboration with IBM. Candidates are admitted to the MBA programmes based on Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT) score. The aptitude exam is conducted by the institute for admission to its non-engineering courses. HITSCAT exam paper is divided into two parts: English and General Knowledge section + multiple choice questions related to the chosen subject. Apart from this for admission, it is also necessary that the aspirants fulfil the prescribed eligibility requirements. 

The registrations for HITSCAT are expected to open soon. Admission to MBA at HITS Chennai is based on this exam score. Thus, aspirants are advised to stay updated with its dates. The eligibility criteria defines the required educational qualifications for a candidate to become eligible for admission. The applicants of MBA courses must have a valid bachelor's degree passed from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate. This is applicable for most of the courses. For some MBA programmes, the aspirants should have passed the mentioned UG courses: BCom/BCom (Corporate)/BBA/BISM/BBM/BSc (Maths/ Physics/ Chemistry/ IT/ Computer Science)/BA (Economics)/BE/ BTech/AMIE/AMAeSI/BCA/BArch/BPharm to three-year Diploma awarded by the State Board of Technical Education.

Multiple-choice questions will be asked in HITSEEE exam to check students' proficiency in fundamental subjects, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English, General Knowledge. The top scorers at national level will get a merit-based scholarship to do their graduate studies at HITS.

If the candidate doesn’t accept the seat allocated to him or her, the HITSCAT 2025 allotment will be canceled. Also, the seat in that case will be allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit. So, it is the responsibility of the candidate to pay the seat-acceptance fee by the given deadline.

No, the candidates are not allowed to carry electronic gadgets to the HITSCAT exam centre. Candidates carrying such devices can be disqualified and not allowed to sit for the examination. Thus, the candidates appearing for the HITSCAT MBA exam should avoid carrying electronic devices. The complete guidelines shall also be mentioned in the admit card of the entrance exam.

Eligibility criteria of MCA with specialization in Big Data Analytics at HITS is given below. Eligibility criteria : Candidates with the following qualifications are directly admitted to the 2nd year (third Semester) of the six semester M.C.A programme: Any undergraduate science or applied science degree of three years duration in Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology or other computer related areas. OR Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application after completing 3 year degree programme.

Yes, HITS Chennai offers two-year MBA programmes. The PG-level course is offered across different specialisations, including Aviation Management, Logistics Management, Green Business, etc. Admission to these courses is through Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT).
