IIT Roorkee MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Roorkee MBA spans over two years. Moreover, this programme is spread across five specialisations. It is a full-time residential programme that is divided into eight terms.
IIT Roorkee MBA admission is offered based on CAT score, followed by the performance of candidates in the PI round. However, JEE Advanced-qualified IIT Graduates with a CGPA of 7 or above on a 10-point scale are exempted from the initial shortlisting process and are directly called for the PI round. The complete IIT Roorkee MBA eligibility and selection criteria are discussed below in detail:
- Eligibility Criteria: Graduation degree/professional qualification in any stream from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Final-year students are also eligible to apply.
- Selection Criteria: The admission criteria are divided into the below categories
Category-1 (Graduates applying on the basis of CAT 2020 score) - CAT score: 60%, PI: 30%, Work experience: 10%
Category-2 (IIT graduates admitted through JEE Advanced) - PI: 100%
*Note: Final year students, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with a minimum aggregate/equivalent CGPA by the specified date.
Apart from this, the institute has recently introduced a new programme, Master’s in Innovation Management (MIM). It is a two-year programme offered in full-time mode. Admission to the programme is based on the performance of eligible candidates in GD and PI rounds.

IIT Roorkee MBA Fees 2025
For admission to IIT Roorkee courses, students must pay various fee components included in the IIT Roorkee fee structure. No, you cannot apply for B.Des programme at IIT Roorkee even if you have cleared the UCEED Entrance Exam because Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in 10+2. But you can apply for B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.
