Aspirants need to pay an application fee to register for MDes course at IIT Bombay. Below is the application fee:

The CEED 2024 will have two parts - Part A and Part B. The Part B answer booklet will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. Consequently, all candidates who qualify Part A will be assigned a merit rank. On the other hand, candidates who fail to qualify Part A will not be assigned a merit rank and can't take part in any counseling and seat allotment process conducted by the participating colleges. Candidates who are assigned a CEED 2024 merit rank are eligible to apply to the counseling processes.

Among all the categories, the most difficult course to get into IIT Bombay was M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering having a last-round cutoff 750.

IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. IIT JAM is the entrance exam for MSc admission at IIT Bombay. To get a call from IIT Bombay, the students must secure a rank of up to 712 for MSc admission. This required rank is valid for the General AI category students. For other categories, the cutoff rank will be different. IIT Bombay BTech admission is a multi-step process. Check below the steps students need to follow for getting admission to BTech course:

Step 1: IIT Bombay BTech Application Process 2025

BTech and BTech (Dual Degree) aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). 

Step 2: Entrance Exams

Candidates need to first qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying both the entrance-exams are required to register for Counselling.

Step 3: JoSAA Counselling & Seat Allotment

Shortlisted candidates after registering for JoSAA Counselling are offered seat. The seat allotment is conducted after the release of cutoff.

IIT Bombay offers admission to various PG courses on the various exams. MSc course is offered through IIT JAM. For the General All India category students, the last round closing ranks were between 17 and 40. 

IIT Bombay GATE COAP cutoff 2024 were between scores 325 and 650, for the General AI category candidates.

For admission to MBA, candidate must have a valid score in CAT. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff sores for the same was 90.

IIT Bombay admission to MDes programme is entrance-based. Candidates have to follow the below steps to get a seat in the MDes programme:

Step 1: Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements have to pay an application fee to register for MDes course. 

Step 2: IIT Bombay selects candidates for MDes programme based on CEED score. After qualifying CEED, the institute releases a category-wise merit list for each stream. Eligible candidates are required to appear for an IDC (written test) and an interview round.

Step 3: After the completion of the selection rounds, IITB releases a final merit list. Selected candidates will then have to appear for the verification of documents in order to complete the admission.
