IIT Bombay MDes Eligibility & Highlights 2024
IIT Bombay offers an MDes course of two-year spread across four semesters. The institute offers MDes through Industrial Design Centre in five specialisations at the PG level. Below is IIT Bombay MDes eligibility criteria:
Aspirants who have completed graduation with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree for individual streams can apply for MDes programme.

IIT Bombay provides MDes admission on the basis of candidates' performance in the CEED exam. IIT Bombay MDes cutoff 2024 is based on CEED scores 2024 followed by the round-wise CEED Counselling. IIT Bombay admission to MDes programme is entrance-based. Candidates have to follow the below steps to get a seat in the MDes programme:
Step 1: Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements have to pay an application fee to register for MDes course. The application fee for General/ OBC male is INR 300 and INR 150 for SC/ ST/ PwD and all female candidates.
Step 2: IIT Bombay selects candidates for MDes programme based on CEED score. After qualifying CEED, the institute releases a category-wise merit list for each stream. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for IDC written test followed by an interview round for final selection.
Step 3: Once the selection rounds are over, a final merit list is released. The shortlisted aspirants have to come for document verification and confirm their seat by paying the course fee.
