Review of Indian Maritime University Chennai.
Placements: It is not very good. Every student has some expectations regarding placement but after spending 4-6 lakhs, they got a job offering only 20,000 INR. IMU is big name comes under the central government but not any facility like a government college. They should provide a good job which a student deserves.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good with no issues regarding this. IMU Chennai has two campuses, one will be open soon. The new campus is very large near about 300 acres. The old campus is also good, it has a swimming pool and an auditorium. It also consists of a big ground for outdoor games like football, cricket, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members teach very well. The manner of teaching is also very good. The course consists of two years and is further divided into 4 semesters, same like every MBA college, so no issues regarding faculty members. In terms of the curriculum, no one can beat them. They teach through the digital way as well as our traditional way because both are necessary to improve students.

Good maritime institute under the central government, holds a value.
Placements: Well, placements do happen but not promised as 100% placements to students. Top companies like Kunhe Nagal, Adani, CH Robinsons etc have recruited in the past several years. The salary ranged between 15,000 to 45,000 in my batch. My seniors got overseas offers too, earning about 2 lakhs per month. It is all based on what company shows up and hires you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great, well-maintained and has a fort-like architecture. It has a hostel, a mess, a swimming pool, a playground and a vast campus which are all great. There a new campus almost ready which looks like Taj Mahal if you ask me. It will be exclusive for MBA students and the old campus will be for BTech, MTech students etc. There is also an auditorium that looks reasonably fair for conducting activities.
Faculty: MBA in ports and shipping management is a 2-year programme with decent enough faculty members and excellent guest faculty members who are very knowledgeable. The course of two years gives you good knowledge. Fixed faculty members are ok but are not that great; you can totally rely on externals. Exams are easy to pass if you pay attention in the class, study the pots and elaborate.
Other: Indian Maritime university is a central government university under the Union Ministry of Shipping. It is a good institute. IMU is headquartered at Chennai having about 4-5 branches in India.

Q:   Is MBA at IMU Chennai better than IMU Navi Mumbai?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

According to the information provided, the MBA programs in International Transportation and Logistics Management are offered by IMU Chennai and IMU Navi Mumbai. Common Entrance Tests (CETs) are administered by IMU, the only accredited institution in India providing maritime education, for variety of degrees, including MBAs. The university offers scholarships, job placement assistance, and state-of-the-art facilities on its Chennai campus. Admissions are determined by the CET. However, the search results that were supplied do not easily provide particular information about how well the MBA programs at IMU Chennai and IMU Navi Mumbai compare. Consult official university resources, talk to current or former students, or get in touch with academic counselors at both campuses for thorough comparison. [/3]
