JMI Entrance Exam is a pen and paper-based test which is designed to assess a candidate's analytical aptitude, logical reasoning skills, English comprehension and general awareness. No, there is no time limit to solve a section in JMI Entrance Exam. The total duration of the exam varies according to the course. Hence, on an average, candidates will get around five minutes for each MCQ. Candidates must keep a tab on the timing as JMI Exam is a time-pressed exam. Before the exam day, candidates are advised to prepare a time management strategy wherein a particular timing should be assigned for each section or subject. They must also note that they will not be given any extra time to complete the exam, nor will they be allowed to take breaks in between or leave before time.

The JMI Entrance Exam cutoff marks are the minimum marks required to pass the test. These are published along with the declaration of the results. The cutoff marks vary from programme to programme. The JMI Entrance Exam is conducted only once in a year. The Jamia Millia Islamia University conducts the Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam to shortlist candidates for admission in various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma Advanced Diploma, M.Phil Ph.D. and Certificate courses like -

As per exam pattern for JMI entrance exam 2026 for MBA, there are three sections in question paper. These are Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English. The JMI question paper includes 170 objtective type questions and candidates will get three hours to complete exam. Examinees have to mark the correct answer in OMR sheet. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
To get admission at Jamia Millia Islamia, students have to register and appear for the entrance exam. JMI will offer seats based on scores obtained in exam. For some courses, candidates have to also appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
