M.Sc in wildlife science is a two-year full-time curriculum having four semesters since its inception. There are about 20 seats in the University of Kota. The eligibility criteria for this course is as under: Eligibility criteria: Bachelor's degree in Science/ Medical Science/ Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Pharmacy/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications or a degree recognized as equivalent thereof should have studied in the science stream at higher secondary or other equivalent board. The minimum aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree recognized by UGC for unreserved category (UR/Gen) is 55% and for SC/ST/OBC/SOBC: Minimum Pass Marks. For other State: 60%. The admission is based on merit. Fee per annum: Rs 18000.

Kota University provides a two-year, four-semester full-time Master of Science (MSc) programme. Admission to the MSc programme at Kota University is determined by the candidate's performance on their most recent qualifying exam. Except for Zoology and Wildlife Science, all specialisations have the same minimum score requirements. The university furthermore provides MSc programme through its affiliated colleges. Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to get admission to MSc course: 

Eligibility: B.Sc. In the relevant stream with a minimum 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for M.Sc. Zoology & Wild Life Science) for General category candidates of Rajasthan and 60% aggregate for other state candidates

Kota University has not released a course-wise placement report for 2023. However, the NIRF placement report for 2023 has been released. As per the report,  a total of 11 PG (2-year) students were placed during UOK placements in 2022. The median package offered to PG (2-year) students was INR 2.10 LPA during placements 2022. 

The final placement report 2024 is yet to be released. Once it is out, the total number of students placed in 2024 placement at UOK will be updated here. However, as per the NIRF report 2024, a total of 12 students of the PG 2-year batch were placed out of total 394 students during UOK placements 2023. Kota University admission to the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral-level, certificate & Diploma courses is based on the entrance/merit score of candidates. The duration of all the PG courses is two years each. The mode of application for all the courses is online.

For all the candidates seeking admission to various UG, PG, and doctoral courses, selection will be based on entrance exam-based or merit-based as per the course opted by the candidate. Scores of national and state-level exams are also considered for several courses.

There are no placement details available on the official website of Kota University. However, the Kota University has released the NIRF report 2024 on its official website. According to the NIRF report 2024, the median package offered to the PG 2-year batch 2023 stood at INR 2.20 LPA. The same is tabulated below:

Kota University has more than 190 affiliated colleges, 5 faculty, and 15 departments. The faculty members are Arts, Commerce and Management, Education, Law, Science and Social Science. The university offers various Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses. The courses offered are MA, MBA (IB), MCA, MSW, LLM, MPEd, MCom (Accounting & Finance), BSc (Biology and Mathematics), BSc (Hons) Physics, MSc (Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Wildlife Science, and Life Science), M.Tech (Solar Energy), MA/MSc (Geography and Mathematics), MA (Development Studies and Heritage, Tourism, Museology, and Archaeology), Diploma in Culture and History of Rajasthan, Certificate in Tourist Guide, along with MPhil and PhD in various disciplines.

Kota University charges a one-time hostel fee of INR 500 from all its students with an additional refundable security deposit of INR 2,000 for Indian students and INR 10,000 for foreign students. Nominal charges are also included in the hostel fee on a per-month basis, such as water (INR 100), electricity (INR 50), and hostel development (INR 100), etc. Mess charges are collected separately on the basis of actual expenditure with an annual advance of INR 5,000. The monthly hostel fee varies according to courses, such as

• For Ph.D – INR 1,000 per month

MAT is conducted multiple times a year. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are conducted annually. MAT is the only exam that is conducted multiple times in four phases and multiple exam modes. To make it possible for every MBA aspirant to appear for an entrance exam, AIMA designed MAT, which can be taken by candidates from an exam center as well as at home. The exam is held in February, May, September, and December, which allows candidates to prepare and plan for it as well as for MBA admission. In each of these four months, the MAT is conducted in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes. Candidates can choose a date and a mode of exam based on their preparation and convenience. Registrations for each MAT exam phase start a month earlier. Candidates can also take re-tests in the same academic session if they are not happy with their scores.
