Review of The Government College of Kerala.
Placements: The placement of my college is very decent, and for my branch, it is above all because of the demand for computer engineers. The average package of my college is overall 7 LPA-8 LPA. The highest package goes up to above 20 LPA and more. The internship programme is mandatory and should be done either after the 6th semester or during the summer vacation.
Infrastructure: Since it is a government college, the facilities and infrastructure of the computer department are better than expected. The labs are neat and the Wi-Fi also functions very smoothly. The library is well maintained, and it is well spaced. The facilities of the government hostel are not what you expect. The mess and canteen food is pretty surprising.
Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful but a little egoistic. I think it is legit because decades of experience in a government campus will definitely make you that. Teaching quality is best, no doubt, but if you can't score well in the exam, then get ready to face the other side of them. The course curriculum gets updated every year according to the government. The semester exams are a bit difficult and 80 percent is the pass percentage.
Other: If you want to get enrolled in this campus, then study hard. After getting enrolled, study hard. Placement will come running towards you.

The college may be small, but it has a pleasant atmosphere.
Placements: Last year, the college had some really good placements. We get excellent internship opportunities for our course, and many of our seniors get placed in different companies. Our course offers roles such as Software Engineer, Web Developer, UI/UX Engineer, Backend Developer, Frontend Developer, and more.
Infrastructure: Every department has facilities it needs, such as labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms, and more. We have a newly renovated library. There is only a girls' hostel, though. The girls' hostel is really nice, but it accommodates only around 150 students. The hostel food is pretty good. Medical facilities are available, and there are sports facilities for games like badminton. They also have facilities for board games. Wi-Fi is available, and the girls' hostel has a curfew of 9:30 PM.
Faculty: Some teachers are really good, while some are not so much. But everyone tries their best, and that is something worth pointing out. If you ask for help, they will help you and even work extra hours if needed. The course curriculum is relevant, but just studying the course will not make you industry-ready. You need to build your own skills to achieve that. Some years the semester exams are easy, while in other years one or two subjects can be tough. For our department, the pass percentage is over 95%.
Other: There are many events and festivals. The campus is great. Seniors and faculty members are friendly.

Good placement, good infrastructure, and facilities. Faculty members are okay.
Placements: Almost 30% to 35% of students get placed. The package offered is acceptable for a fresher but not good enough for a skillful student. I think the college should make its placement opportunities stronger. It encourages students to study harder to achieve their goals. The roles offered depend on the selected course.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is okay. The campus is a green campus that is plastic-free and ragging-free. There is a lot of greenery, so we can study peacefully. The quality of food in the hostel and the hostel facilities are very average, but the college canteen is good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are good, helpful, and well-educated, except for one or two. I think the college should provide more training for the newly appointed teachers. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are easy if we study well. The pass percentage in our college is nearly 90%.
Other: The course I chose is very helpful for the future. The interaction with technology makes it more interesting. It would be even better if the college provided more practical knowledge. The events and fests in our college are good.

Best engineering college under KTU with Kerala Rank 1.
Placements: The College of Engineering provides various placement opportunities. Most students get placed, and others opt for higher studies and research. It is one of the best colleges under KTU that offers a large number of placements in Kerala. The Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU) is available for any kind of help.
Infrastructure: This course, Industrial Engineering, comes under the Mechanical Engineering department. The college has a large technical library facility with more than one lakh books. Hostel facilities are available nearby. All kinds of facilities are provided. Hence, it is one of the best.
Faculty: Teachers are mainly IIT and NIT graduates. They are also good researchers and hold patents. They are really helpful. The 2024 curriculum under KTU is followed now. It consists of more relevant courses. The new curriculum focuses more on application rather than theory.
Other: This college consists of various famous fests like Dristi, Dhwani, Odisha, etc. It is one of the campuses with many fests. There are many other things to explore here.

Review of TKM College of Engineering.
Placements: Placements were very good. Companies from different parts of India and the state came to conduct interview sessions, during which the students performed their best. Based on their talent and skills, the students were placed. The average salary package offered was 3.0 LPA. The highest package offered last year was 18 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra, Accenture, TCS, BYJU'S, and HDFC Bank visited our campus for placements. The Software Engineer role was offered to the students. Nearly 70% of students secured internships at various companies.
Infrastructure: The college hostel was very good and well maintained by both the students and the staff. The hostel provided good facilities, including two meals a day. The quality of the food was very good. There were ceiling fans, 24-hour electricity, a peaceful environment with no noise pollution, and a garden where students played with their friends.
Faculty: Faculty members were good. They were well-experienced and taught us well. They were experts in their respective fields. Many were Ph.D. holders with diversified knowledge of core subjects and programming languages. Their experience helped us a lot, and they were very friendly and supportive. The semester system was followed, with each semester lasting 6 months. There was one mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam in every semester. Marks were also awarded for attendance and practicals. Exams were easy to moderate in difficulty and were well structured. The course curriculum was quite appropriate. It was especially for students belonging to a non-IT background. The first two semesters covered the basics of programming languages like C and C++. Later, we learned advanced languages like Java and HTML.

Review of Bishop Jerome Institute.
Placements: Placements were good. Companies like ICICI, Archgate, and others came for placements. This year, KPMG, Deloitte, and Wipro also came. However, most placements are in sales and call centre domains. A job fair was also conducted. Companies like HDFC, Indigo, ICICI, TCS, Tata Motors, participated. Packages were remained similar. Various profiles offered include Investor Relations, Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Management Reporting, Risk Analytics, Market Research, Capital and Risk Information Services, and many more. The highest package was 28 LPA, and the average was around 4 LPA. Overall, the placement was good enough.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility was available. There were also PG options nearby. The charges were decent, and the environment was good. Hostel rooms were available in both shared and single options. The mess food was good and reasonably priced.
Faculty: Faculty members were knowledgeable, but some teachers were not permanent. If you liked a teacher, there was a chance you might not see them in the next semester. Some faculty members had been in the department for over 30 years. The total marks were divided into internal and external assessments. Internal marks (30%) included tests, presentations, case studies, and group activities. External exams (70%) were conducted twice a year, in May and December. Passing could be difficult if internal marks were not good. The course curriculum was good enough. The subjects were well-structured and to the point, with good offerings. Students had options to specialize in Finance, Marketing, HR, Information Technology, and Operations. Specialization electives could be selected by students. The course curriculum was very elaborate and practical. It was a 2-year full-time MBA program.
