LPU does not offer direct admission. However, admission to few courses is merit-based. Aspirants scoring a 65% aggregate have a good chance of getting admission in LPU. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. However, national-level entrance exam scores are also accepted for admission to BA LLB (Hons), MBA, BTech, etc. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. The selection rounds are followed by counselling and document verification.
Q: What is the LPU NEST exam date for the test centre-based test?

The remote proctored exam will be conducted from February 15, 2026, and the test centre exam dates are from March 15, 2026. The exam will be conducted till March 31, 2026.

Students can get provisional admission and confirm their seats by paying a nominal fees. The nominal fees is INR 10,000. This applies to all courses and would be adjusted against the programme fees of the semester. MSc Agriculture and MA Hindi/ Punjabi are exempted from this case.

LPU NEST application form fee for a soft copy of the LPU NEST 2026 Kit is INR 1000 for boys and girls. The printed copy of the LPU NEST Kit is available for INR 1500 for boys and girls. The application fee can be paid online if the application form is filled out online. The application fee can be given as a demand draft if the application form is submitted offline. If the DD is not enclosed or DD is wrongly drawn, the application form will not be accepted. The application fee has to be paid to submit the application form.

Learning Experience: Course content is overall average, not too good and not too bad. There are some subject which actually focuses on your skills and brain, like analytical skills, your engineering minor. It plays a huge role in career. Placements: Placement starts in the mid of third year. Student can apply for different companies. Students dream companies also come. LPU has ties with big companies also. Student can get placement easily here
Faculty: Faculty approach is very good. They start from basic and goes to advance. Almost 95% of faculty is good. The assessment style has changed a lot. Last year 3 assessment were done by paper-pen tests. But now, it has become interesting, there industrial visit, project making,etc, which helps student in finding talent.
Course Support: This course is better than CSE. It has been proved. Students from our department (ECE) have secured higher package jobs like 2.5 crore,1 crore , etc.
