B.A.	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
B.Com	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
M.A.	Candidates who have studied Konkani as either the first or second language at the graduate degree level for not less than two years/four semesters are also eligible to apply provided such applicants have secured not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the examination of the subject. The marks scored in the Konkani First or Second language examinations would be equated with the marks of the optional Konkani (the cognate subject) as follows:60% in Konkani First or Second language to 45% of optional Konkani (the cognate subject).Candidates who have passed any Bachelor degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto and have secured an aggregate minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks are also eligible to apply if seats are left vacant after considering applications from category 1 and 2 above. The candidates from this category, i.e.; category 3 would be selected solely on the basis of an entrance test designed to test (a) the candidates' ability to read, write and speak Konkani fluently, and (b) a basic awareness of the literary world of Konkani.
M.Com	Candidate must have B.Com/B.B.M or equivalent with mentioned marks in the aggregate in commerce subjects from any recognised university.
BCA	Candidate must have passed 12th/equivalent from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
Certificate	Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or any other examination considered as equivalent theretoLanguage shall be eligible. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit based on the degree/certificate in each of the following categories:1.Post Graduate and above2.Graduate3.10+2Students who are studying 10+2/Graduate/Post Graduate Level or its equivalent levels may do this programme along with regular classes.
UG Diploma	Candidates who have passed the certificate examination in German language conducted by Mangalore University or any other recognised University is eligible for admission. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit of the respective Certificate examination.Candidates who have obtained their certificate in German language from any other institution one year before the year of admission shall be required to appear for an admission test to be conducted by the university.
MBA/PGDM	Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates). Final year students can also apply on provisional basis.

Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The next step is to qualify for the merit/cutoff list. Some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of the last qualifying exam for admission to BSc courses. On the other hand, other colleges might accept the scores of entrance examinations too for admissions to BSc courses. Candidates seeking admission to the MSc programme offered at Mangalore University in any of the specialisation must pay the Mangalore University MSc fee, which ranges from INR 6,300 to INR 3.2 lakh. Apart from the tuition fee, they are also required to pay the hostel fees and one-time admission fees to the college. The hostel fee is INR 1.66 lakh, and one time charge ranges from INR 1,000 to INR 2,750.
