Manipal University BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Manipal University (MAHE) BTech is a four-year course offered across several specialisations. This course is taught by the Faculty of Science, Technology & Management at Manipal Institute of Technology. Students can also get direct admission to the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry in some BTech specialisations, such as Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, etc.
Manipal University (MAHE) BTech admission is entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to BTech must qualify for MET, which is an in-house entrance exam of Manipal University for admission to most of its UG courses. Additionally, the university also accepts the scores of KCET and DASA UG. DASA UG DASA is the abbreviation for Direct Admission of Students Abroad. MET 2025 application form last date has not been announced yet. Candidates will have to fill out and submit the MET application form before the final date, which will be released soon. No late applications will be accepted. The MET 2025 application form dates will be announced at manipal.edu. MET application form will be available online and no other mode of application will be accepted by the authorities. Only the registered candidates will be able to participate in the entrance examination.
Manipal University BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
MAHE BTech application process is conducted in online mode. The admission of candidates is decided on entrance-basis for every specialisation of BTech. The step-wise application process for Manipal University admission is mentioned below:

1.1: Visit the official website of MAHE: https://manipal.edu/.
1.2: Click on ‘Online Application Form’ tab.
1.3: Register on the website.
1.4: Fill out the application form.
1.5: Attach all necessary documents

STEP 2: Appear in MET
For MAHE BTech admission, the institute accepts the scores from the MET test for all registered students. Candidates are required to appear for the test during the scheduled duration and time. Moreover, the institute also publishes an admit card before the test. All students are required to download and bring the MET admit card during the examination.
STEP 3: Counselling Process
After evaluating candidates' MET scores, the university releases the merit list. Further, candidates who got shortlisted on merit are required to go through a counselling process. The counselling process evaluates the candidates' overall performance and allocates the seat to the shortlisted candidates.
STEP 4: Admission Confirmation & Document Verification
Selected candidates will be notified through the official sources of the university. MET exam pattern consisted of the details regarding how the examination was held. As per the official MET exam pattern, the examination was held as a computer-based test at various centres. The total duration of the examination was 2 hours. Candidates had to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). For every correct answer, the candidate was allotted four marks. There was no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) but one mark was deducted for every wrong answer in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
