Study and lots of fun and love.

Placements: MIT Manipal Mechanical students get placed 60%-70%. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA-20 LPA, the average salary package offered was 6 LPA-7 LPA, and the Lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA-4 LPA. Top Recruiters: Tata Motors, L&T, Bosch Several internship companies visit in the 3rd year. Many students get placed through internships in their 3rd year.

Infrastructure: Spacious classrooms, air-conditioners, and Wi-Fi are accessible campus-wide, 24/7, for both academic and personal use. Mechanical department has thermal labs, heat mass transfer labs, fluid mechanics labs, CAD labs, and material science labs. For residential facilities, both air-conditioner and non-air-conditioner rooms are available, including single rooms with attached washrooms and double-sharing rooms with attached washrooms. All types of rooms are available. From the 2nd year onwards, hostel allotments are based on CGPA.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, highly experienced, and hold advanced degrees. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are moderately challenging, using Bloom's Taxonomy, which focuses on conceptual learning. Exams are conducted on electronic pads to promote paperless assessments.

Other: Passion for Automotives and Aeronauticals. Focused lab sessions would improve, with more practical learning than theory. Events like Teach Tatva, Revel, and Utsav feature notable alumni and celebrities.

MIT Manipal, a glance at it.

Placements: Around 65% placement rate. The highest package in the mechanical engineering branch is approximately 17L, and the average is 6L. Top recruiters are Tata Motors. The lowest package is around 4L. Around 70% got internship offers from companies like ITC and Mahindra. Top roles are of GET.

Infrastructure: Hostels are very nice, but the quality of food is average. Well-equipped labs for various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electronics, computer science, and biotechnology. Specialized labs for research in areas like robotics, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy.

Faculty: Teachers focus on research more. The quality of teaching is good. Semester exams are pretty straightforward. There are two exams held in a semester: one mid-sem and one end-sem. The faculty is diverse and highly qualified, many of whom hold Ph.D. degrees from prestigious institutions in India and abroad. Faculty members are actively involved in research, and many have industry experience, which enhances the practical learning aspects of their teaching.

Basic salary package depends on the company. The maximum package that went this time was around Rs 6.7 lakhs. On an average the package is around Rs 4 lakhs and there are a lot of job opportunities. Companies like Maruti suzuki, Mercedes, Bosch, etc. come to campus every year for recruitments.

Is it worth to pursue M.Tech in mechanical engineering from Manipal University? Which companies come for campus recruitment?

Manipal University has good reputation in placement however the placement rate in master program from industry is slightly less even in IITs due to high paid salary. However in academic you will find good job even in the campus with satisfactory package.

There are a number of dates which you can fill. Depends on your choice. It's all online. Once you fill the form, you will get an email id and password and through that portal you can lock your date of the examination. Tentatively the examination starts in May and continues for the entire month.
