A good opportunity for a great start.

Placements: I am studying at MIT, Manipal, ECE, in my first year. As of now, it is a great start, and I talked to many seniors, to summarize, I can say 90% placement in core streams. 99% placements in CSE, but it depends on your hard work, whether you are going in list of students who are not placed, and ample opportunities are given for higher studies.

Infrastructure: I stay in hostel block 5, room is small, but comfortable and sufficient. Moreover, depending on how you study, you get a choice of rooms, like if you are studying really good you have plenty of options in rooms like AC, non-AC, single seater, double seater, triple seater. But if you are not studying good and your CGPA is low, you have fewer options in room or sometimes the worst option or even no options, but then all rooms are good, it depends upon your needs. There is free Wi-Fi too.

Faculty: All instructions are given clearly, and we also get a trial chance to do everything, like answering a question or doing something in the lab. Student-to-teacher ratio is great, such that we can spend even 2 hours with them in their cabins. We also have multiple teachers in same subject, so we have an option to go to whichever teacher we like to solve our doubts. Whole syllabus is set in a way such that you need not go for extra coaching for GATE or other higher education entrance exams.

Other: Campus crowd is not a thing to worry about, if you have seen the crowd in VIT.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education in M.Sc. Course Intake.

Placements: Approximately 79% of our M.Sc. class was placed. The lowest was 3 LPA, the highest was 11 LPA, and the average was 5 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and Accenture came to visit. Approximately 70% secured internships at startups, L&T, and Infosys. Dev, QA, and analyst were the most common roles.

Infrastructure: The library had many books, and the labs were good. Sometimes the Wi-Fi was fast, and other times it was slow. Although the hostel was clean, the restrooms could use some improvement. The canteen snacks were excellent, but the mess food was mediocre. The primary sports were badminton and cricket.

Faculty: While some of the faculty only concentrate on theory, others were helpful. The syllabus was pertinent, but it lacked some modern technology. There were a few challenging papers on the moderately difficult exams. Internal grades were fair, and the pass percentage was about 83%.

Dissatisfied with facilities.

Placements: Percentage of the students who were placed in our course was 55%. Highest package was 13 LPA, average package was 7.5 LPA, and lowest package was 4 LPA. Many reputed and big companies reached our college campus for recruitment.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are of average size and are not cleaned daily. Wi-Fi facilities are only available for faculty members. Quality of food available in mess and canteen is very hygienic and tasteless. Hostel rooms are also not comfortable. Limited sports facilities present.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough, but not so knowledgeable. They always take help of books during teaching. Teaching quality is average. Some of the teachers and college staff are of a very unhelpful and rude nature. Curricular activities are only conducted at the start of semester.

Placements: Manipal Academy of Higher Education offers excellent career options for students. Graduates of the M.Sc. In Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, students pursue a wide range of roles, including pediatric nutritionists, general nutritionists, food quality analysts, etc. On average, fresh graduates from this course earn a starting salary of approximately 8.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Manipal Academy of Higher Education has a beautiful, structured campus. Its hostel facilities consist of four buildings - two are built for boys and two for girls, each with a capacity of about 180 residents. In addition, the college conducts an " Annual Debate and Singing Competition " to actively foster student engagement in extracurricular pursuits.

Faculty: Our college faculty members are dedicated to providing us with high-quality education. The M.Sc. programme in Dietetics and Applied Nutrition spans two years, divided into four semesters. To qualify for examinations, students must maintain at least 84% attendance. Each year, approximately 94% of students successfully pass the exams.

This is the best college ever.

Placements: There was no placement for the Masters course in the college, but companies gave us good recognition for offering well-paid jobs. Hotel Management students got amazing opportunities through college placement. Internship offers from various recognized hospitals for our course were great. We gained good experience during our internship. The college had tie-ups with many hospitals, so finding internships was not a difficult task; however, no incentives were given to the interns.

Infrastructure: Study environment in the college was excellent. We had all the facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, a kitchen, labs, a library, college offices, and an auditorium, etc. The college campus was kept clean and hygienic. The toilets were of star hotel standards, but ours were also very dirty.

Faculty: Faculty members are kind and caring. They are very understanding and well-equipped with knowledge about their subjects. They are generous, yet they ensure that we complete all our assignments on time. The teaching faculty made the subjects really easy for us to understand. They were really kind to help us with our major research projects. Moreover, they were fun and entertaining.

Dissatisfied with placements.

Placements: Placements at Manipal University were just average, with only 40% of students securing placements. The placement cell was not responsive, and internships were not provided by the college. Students had to find internships and jobs on their own. The top recruiting companies were Asian Paints and Wipro.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college was good, but according to me, it was not value for money. Wi-Fi, labs, and digital classrooms were available for students. Sports facilities were not available, and only academics were focused. Residing in the hostel was quite expensive, but the food quality was good.

Faculty: Faculty was good and well-educated, but they were not polite to students. Their teaching quality was average. The course curriculum was relevant, but it did not make students industry-ready. The semester examinations were easy to qualify, but students had to purchase unnecessary additional courses apart from tuition fees.
