The University offers over 610 courses across 13 streams namely Commerce, Management, Law, Science, Mass Communication, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, and Arts, etc. University in uses the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions.  The university offers admissions on the basis of both merit score and entrance exam score. Manipur University offers BTech via its affiliated college, Manipur Institute of Technology. For admission to the BTech course, a JEE Main score is required to get shortlisted. However, candidates are also provided with the option of applying for the BTech course without a JEE score. Candidates who are applying under the Non-JEE category, an entrance test conducted for the remaining seats that are not filled by the candidates with a JEE (Main) 2025 score card.
