CUET PG Biochemistry syllabus is provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the form of a PDF on the official website of CUET PG. Biochemistry is a laboratory-based science which combines Biology and Chemistry. This field of science explores the chemical substances and vital processes occurring in a living organism. If you have already completed your graduate degree in Biochemistry or life sciences and are planning to do a master’s degree, CUET PG 2025 exam is a good step. The CUET exam is conducted by NTA and includes about 197 participating universities.

CUET PG 2025 will be conducted from March 13, 2025, to March 31, 2025. The CUET PG application form 2025 was released on January 2, 2025, and the last date to fill the CUET PG application form is February 1, 2025. CUET PG is a national-level exam which serves as a gateway to various postgraduate courses offered in the central, state, private and deemed universities across India.

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2025

CUET PG 2025 exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT). The questions will be given in a multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. Check below to know the CUET PG 2025 exam pattern for Biochemistry:

No, not all sections of the CUET PG exam are available in both languages. Here's a breakdown:

  • Bilingual Sections: Most sections, including those in common courses, humanities, and sciences, are offered in both Hindi and English. 
  • Language-Specific Sections: Language papers are conducted in the respective languages only. For example, the Hindi paper will be available only in Hindi. 
  • Acharya Sections: Papers for Acharya subjects like Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System, and Baudha Darshan are generally conducted in Sanskrit.

  • Principles of Electrophoresis, Spectrophotometry and ELISA and their applications

Biomolecules

  • Biomolecules present in living cells
  • Key contributions of scientists such as Hans Kreb, G. N. Ramachandran, Melvin Calvin, Louis Pasteur, Har Gobind Khorana, Watson etc.
  • Properties of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, cholesterol, DNA, RNA, glycoproteins and glycolipids
  • Process of fermentation and manufacture of Biodiesel
  • Amino acid and nucleotide sequences of proteins and DNA respectively
