Q:   Is MG University a good university?
A: 

Yes, Mahatma Gandhi University, is one of the major Universities in Kerala. MG University has been ranked 43 among the top Universities in India by NIRF 2025. MG University offers students as well as staff a wide range of amenities. Separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, canteen, auditorium, laboratories, medical facilities, and many other amenities are available at Mahatma Gandhi University. The library of the university has all the necessary resources to help the students with their academics. This includes books, journals, magazines, e-books, etc.

Q:   What is the admission process for MSc at MG University?
A: 

Admission to the PG-level programme is based on MGU CAT score. The entrance examination is conducted by the university for PG courses. After the entrance test, a merit list is published to declare the names of selected candidates

Q:   What is the selection criteria for MG University MA?
A: 

Admission to this PG-level course is through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). For selection, candidates have to take the MGU CAT exam, which is conducted in-house. Based on the candidates' score in the entrance examination, a selection list is released by the university. Candidates who make it to the list become eligible for participation in the counselling round. The seats are allotted after document verification during counselling.

Moreover, its affiliated colleges accept other entrance exam scores as well. The accepted exam list include CPGET/MAT/CAT/CMAT/KMAT Kerala/Kerala University Admission.

Q:   What is the admission process for MG University BA?
A: 

Students getting admitted to the MG University BA course must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate. The selection list will be announced by the university in an online mode. Admission to the BA course at MG University is based on a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of MG University.

Q:   Who is eligible for admission in MG University for MSc?
A: 

The MGU MSc course aspirants with a valid BSc or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate are eligible to apply. However, it is necessary that the candidate did the degree course in the relevant stream. The eligibility criteria for some of the MSc specialisations is mentioned below for reference:

Q:   How can I get admission to MBA at MG University?
A: 

For MBA admission at MG University, students must have a graduation degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, students must have passed CMAT/CAT/KMAT Kerala/KMAT/MAT/XAT/Karnataka PGCET/MGU CAP, any one of the entrance exams. Qualified students are further called for a group discussion and personal interview rounds. Aspirants must apply online by visiting the official website of MG University. 

Some of the MGU-affiliated colleges also offer direct admission to an MBA course.

The infrastructure of this college is very attractive.
Placements: Our college is bad for MSW placements. The only way to get a job is to do many internships and gain experience then you will be able to get a good job offer. Some medical and pharmaceutical companies offer jobs, but for the first six months you need to do an internship. So placement experience is bad for this college.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure and interior are well planned. The college provides great facilities for students. Huge computer labs are present where we learn and practice. The library is equipped with many books, novels, magazines, study notes, etc. The college canteen is quite small, and limited food options are available. Accommodation facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced in the teaching field. They do not treat all students equally; some teachers show biased behaviour. The quality of teaching is not that good. Sometimes they cover all topics very fast, and students do not understand. The course curriculum is relevant to the course. Around 90 percent of students pass the exams.

The best management system.
Placements: Our college took the initiative to conduct the mega job fair within the organisation and allows students from other colleges to participate in the event. Some of the recruiting companies are BDO, Payoda, Kitex, Yubi, EY, and many more that can't be listed in a small box.
Infrastructure: The hostel campus for females is located outside the campus, so a special bus is available for hostellers to pick them up from college and take them to the hostel. Their management is the best, even a minor issue is addressed immediately, and action is taken.
Faculty: Special care is provided to the students who are below average grades, and work continuously for their improvement in their academic records. Teachers have strong knowledge of basics as well as advanced concepts and techniques in the subjects. So our college always gives positive academic results, which is highly appreciated.

My honest opinion about NSS Hindu College.
Placements: The college provided a good platform for placing students in reputed companies. There was a separate placement cell in the college that looked after placement-related work. Various companies came to the college and conducted interviews. Many students were selected for jobs as well as internships. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, etc. visited the campus. They offered an average package ranging from 3–6 LPA, with the highest package being 24–28 LPA last time. It depended on the student's experience and knowledge. Companies made offers to students, and students had to give interviews.
Infrastructure: The college had set up hostels for both girls and boys, offering a lot of facilities like single-sharing, sharing, or twin-bed rooms. A lot of tasty and hygienic food was available 24/7 in the college canteen. Students were also offered a playground on the hostel campus as well as 24/7 Wi-F so that they could study or do research at any time. The course structure was very effective because the college had good laboratory facilities to practise important coding in Computer Science.
Faculty: Faculty was very knowledgeable. Teachers were very cooperative and taught from the very basics. They had a helpful nature and focused on the course and the excellence of the candidates. I think those who wanted to gain full knowledge from the basics had the best teachers. Teachers were also well experienced and held high degrees. They had done a Ph.D. in their respective fields. The course curriculum was designed to make students understand the needs, requirements, and demands of the industry. They were given all sorts of training and were also provided with all the resources.

It is a nice college, and everyone should join here.
Placements: No one got placement. There were placement interviews, but no one cleared them. They conducted many interviews, and even if we got in the interviews, the salary packages were so low. Most of the students did not participate in the event that was conducted by the college. That's also a reason I think for no placement.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are beautiful. The ambiance is also nice. In Idukki, such a college is very rare. All the facilities of the college are of a high level. There are well-maintained bathrooms and rooms. Also, the campus has good nature vibes.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and they are helpful. Many exams are conducted anyway, but the college is good for studies. They are doing everything so that we can pass our exams. Our teachers conduct video classes, provide notes, PDFs, etc. In my opinion, teachers are good, but the management is so boring.
Other: I chose this course because I like the ambiance, and they provide extra courses to study. Also I have a cousin in the college, so I joined here.

Well-trained faculty with good placements.
Placements: 75 percent of students were placed in our course. The highest package is 9 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Some of the companies are Wipro, Amazon, Capgemini, HCL, Accenture, etc. Some of our friends and seniors got internship opportunities in good startup companies.
Infrastructure: Our college is situated in a peaceful environment with good surroundings. College management provides good facilities. It has digital classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. They provide hostel facilities for boys and girls. Our college has a big ground to play sports and games.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is updated every year. This is very useful to us. Teachers are very helpful. They clear doubts by understandably providing PPTs and examples. The quality of teaching is good. Semester exams are moderate, but some subjects are a little bit difficult.
