Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Yavatmal (SGMSAM Yavatmal) is one of the reputed private ayurvedic colleges in Maharashtra. It was established in 1992. The Gajanan Maharaj Ayurvedic College is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicines. Duration: 5 and 1/2 years (including 1 year of compulsory internship). Eligibility: Students must have passed the 10 + 2 standard with science (PCB) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the same and with English as one of the languages. You must have achieved a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of the relevant science subject (PCB) in the 12th standard examination. Admission process: Students are admitted to the BAMS course on the merit basis obtained in the NEET conducted by NTA. Candidates shall apply/enroll on the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee website. The college cut-off is decided by the selection board. The merit list is based on the results of NEET. If you belong to the SC/ST/OBC category, then you have to score a 40 percentile in the NEET exam. If you belong to the UR category, then you have to score 50 percentile in the NEET exam. Yes, you can apply if you meet the minimum eligibility criteria for your desired course. However, the admission process is not on the basis of Class 12 marks; it mainly depends on the entrance test performance. For courses such as BSc, a NEET score is compulsorily required; so, try to qualify in the entrance test.
