MUHS BSc Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Dates, Eligibility & Application Process

The MUHS Nashik BSc course fee range from INR 8,000 to INR 5.2 lakh. Candidates must make sure to pay the course fee to finalise the admission. The BSc fee might include components other than the tuition fees.  Candidates are required to pay INR 50,000 caution money. Further, MUHS offers a limited number of seats for all its programmes via its affiliated colleges. 

The Maharashtra University of Health Science offers admission to the BSc programme on merit basis and on entrance exam basis. The university accepts  National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to few of the BSc specialisations such as Nursing. The exam is conducted once a year in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. Optometry, Paramedical technology, Nursing, Occupational therapy, etc. are a few of the BSc specialisations offered at MUHS, Maharashtra University of Health Science. Admission to a few of the specialisations is completely merit-based. However, for BSc specialisations such as Nursing admission is completely based on the NEET UG exam. In both cases, candidates must qualify for the BSc eligibility criteria which include twelve years of school education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC; 45% aggregate for PWD category candidates) along with English as one of the subjects. And requires candidates to be a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 of the year of admission (Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants. The entrance exam for  Maharashtra University of Health Sciences BSc course is NEET. The full form of NEET is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).  The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the medical entrance exam for admission to MBBS,  BDS,  BSc Nursing,  BAMS,  Veterinary, and other medical/paramedical courses in India. MUHS accepts NEET-UG for admission to the BSc programme. Candidates willing to secure admission to the BSc need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission.

The NTA NEET registration procedure is completely online. The steps of NEET application process are given below:

1. Visit the NEET official website -neet.ntaonline.in

2. Click on the tab indicating Registration

3. Read all the instructions and register with personal details such as name, contact details, password, etc. to generate the application number and password

4. Register for NEET by entering personal and contact detailsSelect password

5. Verify OTP received through SMS and email

6. After the credentials are generated, log in and fill up the application form with personal and educational details, exam medium and exam city preference and documents (photograph, signature, thumb impressions, address proof) upload

7. Pay the application fee in online mode through credit/debit card, net banking, Paytm and UPI

Once the NEET 2024 application form is submitted successfully, NTA will send a confirmation mail and SMS to candidates' registered email address and mobile number. They are advised to save and print the confirmation for future reference. 

Candidates must be Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery graduates from a recognised educational institute. Students must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate to sit for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduation entrance exam (NEET PG/ AIAPGET), qualifying via which they will get admission to the MD programme at MUHS. For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranks ranged between 125 and 3324, wherein Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College and KEM Hospital was the hardest college for admission.

The BSc degrees in Nursing and Paramedical Technology are offered by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The candidates study period of the three undergraduate degrees is three years. Learners receive both the background and practice knowledge required in healthcare profession. The programmes prepare graduates to practice in the field of nursing and allied health sciences.

BSc Nursing at MUHS Nashik is a three year course program and to pursue this course one should complete his or her intermediate with 60 to 95 percentage and cut off is 50 to 85 percentage. The fee structure is 7560 to 12750 per year and even scholarship is provided.

As per last year's trends, the general category NEET cut off is 720-138, and for the SC/ST/OBC category, the NEET cut-off is 137-108. Meanwhile, NEET 2023 cutoff percentile for the general category is 50th and for ST/SC/OBC is 40th.

Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Yavatmal (SGMSAM Yavatmal) is one of the reputed private ayurvedic colleges in Maharashtra. It was established in 1992. The Gajanan Maharaj Ayurvedic College is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicines. Duration: 5 and 1/2 years (including 1 year of compulsory internship). Eligibility: Students must have passed the 10 + 2 standard with science (PCB) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the same and with English as one of the languages. You must have achieved a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of the relevant science subject (PCB) in the 12th standard examination. Admission process: Students are admitted to the BAMS course on the merit basis obtained in the NEET conducted by NTA. Candidates shall apply/enroll on the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee website. The college cut-off is decided by the selection board. The merit list is based on the results of NEET. If you belong to the SC/ST/OBC category, then you have to score a 40 percentile in the NEET exam. If you belong to the UR category, then you have to score 50 percentile in the NEET exam. The college cutoff has not yet been declared. For more information, you can visit the college or participate in counseling. After participating in counseling, just wait for one or two weeks for the college cut-off. It will be declared soon.

All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test, commonly known as AIAPGET, is conducted for admissions to the postgraduate courses in Ayurveda,  Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.  It is conducted annually in a computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify for the examination scoring the minimum cut off percentile can opt for MPH courses. Admission is given on the basis of merit. Those who qualify AIAPGET 2024 will be asked for counselling round which is conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC). Candidates must fill the AIAPGET application form online by visiting the official website.

Yes, MUHS Nashik offers specialisation under the MD program, for example, in fields like General Medicine, Pediatrics, Pathology, Anesthesiologyetc. The specializations that would be available would be based on the affiliated colleges under MUHS. Under the counseling process, a candidate can opt for a desired specialisation depending upon the NEET-PG rank and the availability of seats.

The MD admission process for MUHS Nashik will begin with clearing the NEET-PG exam results. After that, there is counseling, either done by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) or by the specific state authority, after the declaration of results.
