NIIT University's 13th Convocation at Neemrana Campus: Degrees for the University of the Future

October 27, 2023: The University of the Future, NIIT University (NU), which was founded with the goal of becoming the model of education, research, innovation, and sustainability for the knowledge society, had its 13th Convocation in Neemrana. 253 students received degrees for successfully completing their MBA, MTech, and BTech programs in a variety of subject areas during this occasion. The degrees were given out by Prof Parimal Mandke, President of NIIT University, to Padma Shri Awardee Prof Dinesh Singh, Distinguished Chair Professor-AICTE, Rajendra S. Pawar, Founder, and Vijay Thadani, Co-Founder.

Following NU's 100% placement record, the students have been hired by top companies like EY, Aditya Birla, Western Union, Volkswagen, Thomson Reuters, GE Appliances, Groww, Genpact, Deloitte, and more for positions as Data Scientists, Product Designers, Research Analysts, DevOps Engineers, Social Media Managers, Risk Consultants, and Management Trainees. Along with their degree diplomas, the second group of iMBA alumni received offers for 100% Pre-Placement at respectable companies like as MGB Advisors, Indago Research, NielsenIQ, Karuna Group, Kantar, Sutherland, NoBroker, and NielsenIQ. The maximum CTC available this year is INR 29.64 LPA, with the top 25% of students receiving an average CTC of INR 11.76 LPA. Notably, INR 44.27 LPA is the largest remuneration ever given to a student at NU.

Prof Prakash Gopalan Assumes Presidency at NIIT University

October 27, 2023: Prominent scholar Prof Prakash Gopalan becomes the next president of NIIT University (NU). Prof Gopalan has been affiliated with IIT Mumbai for more than 26 years. He holds an MTech from IIT Kanpur and a PhD from Purdue University in the United States. In order to shape NU's vision and oversee its educational and research missions, Prof Gopalan will collaborate closely with the faculty, personnel, and the university's founders, Shri Rajendra Pawar and Shri Vijay Thadani. Together with some of our nation's most eminent thinkers, the visionaries Rajendra S. Pawar and Vijay Thadani developed a new model of higher education that is tailored to the demands of the twenty-first-century workforce. Established on four fundamental tenets—solid industry ties, technology-driven learning, a research-focused approach, and smooth departmental transitions—NIIT University aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. 

Prof Gopalan stated, "I am greatly honored to assume the role of President at this prestigious university," in reference to his new position at NU. NIIT University (NU) Maintains Its Illustrious Track Record In Campus Placements

April 19, 2022: The not-for-profit NIIT University, founded with the purpose of being a role model of learning, research, innovation, and sustainability for the knowledge society, has once again maintained a 100% placement track record (for those who opted) for all of its students. The placement effort included almost 700 placements and industry partners. Students have been placed at prestigious companies such as Airtel, Amazon, CISCO, HCL, IBM, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Zomato, and many others.

Students who have completed cutting-edge courses such as Data Science and Cybersecurity have been employed in prominent firms such as IBM, PwC, EY, CISCO, TCS, and Morgan Stanley, among others, with an average compensation package of INR 6.67 LPA (Data science) and INR 5.28 LPA (Cybersecurity).

In fact, a NU alumnus, Yash Vardhan, a data scientist with over five years of business experience, was recently acknowledged by IBM for filing a patent on "Enhanced conversational bots processing.

NIIT University Wins The Prestigious TERI Water Sustainability Award Under Domestic Water Userscategory

March 24, 2022: The not-for-profit NIIT University, founded with a purpose to bring about innovation in higher education and learning in developing fields of the information society, has won the first Water Sustainability Award 2021-2022. The prize, established by TERI in collaboration with UNDP, was presented on the occasion of World Water Day to create a discourse to encourage Sustainable Development of Water. On behalf of the University, Maj Gen AK Singh, Chief Operations Officer and Dean (Student Affairs), and Gurwinder Singh, Head Facility & Project, NIIT University accepted the honour.

The TERI-IWA Water Sustainability Awards actively advocate the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goal on Water by reducing water footprint across varied stakeholders through the use of a ‘water-neutral’ strategy. The Awards recognise excellence in all forms of new water-related ideas, approaches, processes, products, services, technologies, and other types of innovations that can directly address the SDGs. NIIT University has received a Water Sustainability Awards 2021 within the Domestic Water Users category.

NIIT University (NU) Deliberates On How Digital India Can Script A Success Story At The 13th Annual Lecture

November 22, 2021: K V Kamath, Former President, New Development Bank, delivered the 13th Annual Lecture at the not-for-profit NIIT University, which was founded with a purpose to bring about innovation in higher education and learning in developing fields of the information society. At the annual event hosted online on November 20, 2021, Kamath lectured on "Digital India, Digital Currencies, and Economic Growth."

Kamath emphasised the importance of the Digital India programme in converting India into a digitally empowered society and a knowledge economy on this historic occasion. He also emphasised how, in recent years, digital technology has played a critical part in driving India's economic growth, and how institutions such as NU are nurturing the "next leaders" who would write success stories in a world increasingly driven by technology.

The epidemic brought technology to the forefront and accelerated the speed of digitisation, which was already on the rise. Since its start, NIIT University has placed a strong emphasis on technology. The use of technology, such as NUgget, allows students to receive effective instruction even while they are limited to their homes.

NIIT And Axis Bank Partner To Launch Fintech Engineering Programme 

November 17, 2021: The Axis Bank – NIIT Digital Banking Academy, a joint initiative of Axis Bank, India's third-largest private sector bank, and the NIIT Institute of Finance, Banking and Insurance (NIIT IFBI), has launched its second programme for experienced IT professionals - the "FinTech Engineering Programme," which offers a great career as "FrontEnd and BackEnd Application Developers" with Freecharge, one of the leading digital platforms for financial services and a wholly-owned

This year, the Axis Bank - NIIT Digital Banking Academy was formed to help Axis Bank develop a high-quality talent pool for FinTech roles. Under this cooperative endeavour, the Academy has successfully run the 'FinTech Professional Programme.'

The FinTech Engineering Programme provides graduates with over one year of experience with the possibility to work as Deputy Managers at Freecharge as FinTech specialists (IT). The curriculum is immersive in nature, with learners completing activities of a similar level of difficulty to those they would encounter in their profession. Learners will be placed in FinTech roles at FreeCharge as either FrontEnd Application Developers or BackEnd Application Developers after completing this 12-week immersive programme.

Candidates will go through courses relating to FrontEnd Developer or BackEnd Developer positions after completing the course's common Foundation Module. The course will conclude with a project in which applicants will apply and demonstrate the skills they have learned during the programme. Overall, the programme will expose candidates to real-world projects as well as significant practise and mentorship to help them get the experience and confidence they need to succeed in their professions.

The highest annual CTC was Rs 25 lakh. The placement effort included almost 700 placements and industry partners. Since the first batch graduated, students have been placed at prestigious companies such as Coca-Cola, Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), to name a few.

The NU curriculum is aimed to prepare students for future successful jobs by providing them with excellent work possibilities. The university recently opened applications for its four-year BTech (Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Biotechnology, Communication and Computer Engineering, Data Science, and Cyber Security) and four-year Integrated MBA (Marketing & Marketing Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance Banking & FinTech, Business Analytics, Communication & Media Studies, Digital & Integrated Marketing Analytics) programmes (Finance, Banking & Insurance, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Family Managed Business).

Chairman NIIT University Receives ‘Lifetime Achievement Award‘ from Dataquest

August 22, 2020: At ICT Conference and Awards 2019 held virtually on August 18, renowned Indian magazine Dataquest felicitated Chairman and Co-Founder NIIT Group and Founder NIIT University Rajendra S Pawar with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his contribution in shaping the growth of the Indian IT sector.

NIIT University Appoints Dr Prabhu Aggarwal as President

July 7, 2020: NIIT University announced that it has appointed Dr Prabhu Aggarwal as President. He will be succeeding Professor V S Rao, whose tenure with the University ended on June 30. Dr Aggarwal is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur and MBA & PhD degree holder from University of Washington, Seattle (USA) in Operations Management. He became the founding Vice-Chancellor of OP Jindal University and later academic consultant at the National Rail and Transportation Institute, among other things, since he returned to India in 2012.

Dr Aggarwal has vast strategic experience in the fields of Engineering, Process Management, Education and Leadership Development spanning more than three decades. He has also led a Career Development Program at Mason School of Management, College of William & Mary, Virginia, USA.
