National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur) was established in 1986 as one of the thirty-one NITs of the country. NIT Hamirpur was initially set up as a Regional Engineering College (REC) in 1986. It was given the status of a deemed university and upgraded to NIT Hamirpur in 2002.

NIT Hamirpur JEE Main Round 6 cutoff has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per NIT Hamirpur JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 42702 for General category candidates in All India quota for Chemical Engineering. NIT Hamirpur admissions 2024 are based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JoSAA Counselling and further, followed by CSAB Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech must appear for JEE Main in order to be eligible for further admission process. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 48834 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
