By analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 examination.

A decent college to choose.
Placements: The placements in NIT Hamirpur are decent, neither very good nor bad. The placements are better than other private colleges and since I am from mechanical, some of mechanical students got 1 crore package too ( off campus in 2022). If you can work hard then you can get good CTC from companies. Many get 35lpa in campus placement, the lowest package we got is 4 LPA and the highest is 35lpa (in campus). On an average, the percentage of placement is around 85 - 95%, A mechanical student can get almost all the roles from other companies from chemical to aerospace.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good but the thing I didn't like is the Wi-Fi. It used to work with quite good speed (about 200-400 mbps) before but now they have completely turned off the Wi-Fi, and now you can't use the Wi-Fi. Classrooms are very good but the projectors do not work. Library is very good. A lot of sitting capacity is there with ACs and around 1-3 lakh books are there in it. There is Wi-Fi but with 1gb limit, but it glitches and your data becomes zero. LAN does work but if someone uses outer network then it is turned off. The connection is for all the 5 blocks. Mess food is good, depending upon your mess secretary. Medical facilities are quite nice. We have ambulances, and medical center inside the campus. If we feel unwell then the ambulance takes us out. Sports and games facilities are very good since we have a very big ground.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified, and of course knowledgeable as well. Teaching quality is decent. Some teachers teach very good while other just pass the lectures. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are easy if you start studying from start but if you start to study 12 hrs before the exams then you will get almost 7 CGPA.

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology .
Placements: Placement is not so good for civil engineering students; it is like average. But for CSE students, it is very good. For civil engineering, the average package is like 7 crore per annum. Our college provides not so many internship opportunities but this year it provides an ISRO internship.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are good in nature but all facilities are not provided by highly renowned colleges but they are good and helpful. The infrastructure is very good in NIT Hamirpur; it has such wonderful views. We have a very big sports field and dispensary too and we have so many canteens.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful in everything. Most of the faculty has done their Masters from top IITs and from foreign universities too. The course curriculum is a bit difficult and I don't know if the syllabus will be helpful in the future or not. Semester exams depend on faculty mood.
Other: There is an annual fest called Hillfair and a cultural fest called Nimbus.

Review of NIT Hamirpur - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placement scenario experienced a decline but is now gradually picking up pace. Almost 100% of students get placed every year in our college. Top recruiting companies are Natwest and Trilogy. The OAS is conducted offline and online. Top roles offered are SDE and data analytics.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. The library is good. Our college has 2 reading rooms. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The water facility is not good. Classrooms are good. They are equipped with air-conditioners. Sports facilities are average. The food served in the hostel is average.
Faculty: Our teachers are supportive. They are highly knowledgeable. They provide useful insights. Attendance rules are strict but manageable. The syllabus is slightly outdated but still relevant to the necessary teaching. Exams are not much difficult.

Why should you choose NIT HAMIRPUR?
Placements: The Engineering Physics course is newly introduced in my college, which is why I am disappointed with my expected placement. My batch is the 4th batch of EP in NIT Hamirpur. The first passout batch has an average package of 4 LPA, and 75% of students are placed.
Infrastructure: The main thing which I love about my college is the infrastructure and its location situated atop a hill in Hamirpur district of HP. The buildings are old classical structures with 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity. The hostels are also well-established and provide us with a ground, TV room, mess, a bathroom for every 5 students, and a gym. They serve us good quality, nutritious, and hygienic meals four times a day.
Faculty: Faculty members are too supportive in all aspects, whether it is academics or personal problems. They conduct 2 exams per semester named "minds" and "ends". The mid-semester exam covers 30% of the syllabus, while the end-semester exam covers 70% of the entire semester syllabus. To clear the semester, a student has to secure 40% marks in total for both semesters. However, securing more than 30% in the end semester is compulsory.
Other: This college is a very good decision to be in if you are not addicted to the worst culture of this college. Students fall into bad addiction which spoils their entire career mostly.

NIT Hamirpur, a college in the heart of mountains.
Placements: Well, the batch consists of 40 students, and this year the placement percentage was around 60, but this is also due to the fact that most of the students are aiming for Masters. JSW was one of the major recruiting firms this year in the core sector, the highest package offered was around 10 lac per annum. You can surely avail the placement opportunity owing to the fact the college is a national college in itself, but if placement is your only goal at the end of 4 years, I will suggest taking up some other course, since this is more a less research-oriented course.
Infrastructure: The college has a marvelous infrastructure. The administrative building surely gives a vintage look to the college. Majority of the classes are conducted in the lecture hall complex, where all the classrooms are equipped with necessary equipment. There is a central library too where you will find all sorts of books related to your course, while Labs are also equipped with all the necessary machines. There is a health care center where you can avail the basic medicine, but for a proper checkup, you will have to go the local government hospital. There are 8 Boys Hostel and 5 Girls hostel to accommodate the students, while the quality of food available in the mess is average but you can go the cafes and food courts to escape the mess food. Also, there is a student activity center for indoor games, the college houses a sports ground for all the sports enthusiasts.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members here are actually quite good at qualifications but the same cannot be said for their teaching style. You will have to rely on yourself mostly for the examinations. There are two exams which are held every semester, a mid-semester exam in the mid of the semester and an end semester examination at the end of the semester, apart from which class tests, quizzes and practical exams are also held every semester. Let me tell you a little secret, stereotypes are actually based on some truth, you can pass the examinations if you start studying one or two days before.
Other: Every semester is filled with events, you will find the cultural and technical clubs organizing numerous events in a semester. Also, during the even semester, the technical fest known as NIMBUS is held where all of technical clubs participate and make some amazing projects related to their domain. While during the odd semester, the college organizes its cultural fest known as Hillfair, where you can participate in all of the cultural events and enjoy the performances of some famous artist, who are invited everywhere.
