B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Most beautiful campus compared to other NITs.
Placements: The percentage of students who have been placed this year is approximately 96 percent and last year it was 100 per cent. However only 3 to 4 students got a 20 LPA or 24 LPA package and the remaining all got a 5 LPA package which is why I gave 3 stars. Sometimes ONGC, IOCL, and GAIL also come at the time of placement and most of the students got placement.
Infrastructure: In the first year you get Kailash Boys' hostel where in the first 2 months, the facility of the mess is good but the quality of this goes down. After completion of the first year other hostels are also good and their mess is also very good. Wi-Fi facility is too poor and a night canteen is available, and all games are excluded. Indoor and outdoor activities excluding swimming are available.
Faculty: 1st year faculty is not that good but after this in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are too good and helpful. They always teach more than enough according to the syllabus. This is also good for other competition exams like GATE and many others. The semester exams are difficult but all are there from notes and the pass percentage is 95 percent.
Other: Chemical Engineering is not that much better compared to CSE and other branches. There are many fests in a year and the main event is Nimbus and Hillfair and too much crowd gathers at that time.

A decent college with good environment.
Placements: In electrical engineering department at my college, the placement rate is around 95 percent. There is a decent package of placements of around 22 Lacs and the highest package is I guess 55-60 Lacs. Well, the rates are gradually increasing, the level of education and placement is increasing day by day.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite decent. The hostels are not up to mark, water shortage, no Wi-Fi, etc., but the classes, lecture halls, laboratories and library are good, and atmosphere is very nice. Overall, it's a nice place with lovely climate and greenery.
Faculty: The curriculum is good. Everything we need in our course is already upto mark, and also exposure to practical skills for internships and all is there. Teaching quality is good but for exams, you'll have to study on your own if you want to score good marks.

NIRF ranking is 97 with a 3.2 crores of the highest package.
Placements: 93% percent of students are placed in your course. 5 lac and 3 crores are the highest, the lowest, and the average package offered in your course. Wipro is the top recruiting company in our course. 90% of students got internships from your course, and in which companies, software engineer is the top role offered in your course.
Infrastructure: We have full access to all facilities in our college campus, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library. The hostel facility is quite good with decent rooms and a bare minimum of facilities. Wi-Fi is kind of slow but steady. You are allowed to use medical facilities and sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is decent, with experience of over 10 years. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester examinations are quite difficult for students who don't study at all.
Other: I chose B.Tech in Computer Science engineering in this college. The best thing about this course is programming and coding, which is quite good. For improvement better practical lab should be conducted.

A good college, decent placement record, and beautiful campus.
Placements: Our college has a very good placement record. Recently, there was a student who grabbed a package of 3.5 crores. He is from electronics and communication engineering. For computer Science department, the average placement record is 96% something, and many more.
Infrastructure: Hostels are decent, but facilities are not up to mark, and there is a lot of improvement required, others classrooms and labs are quite good. Labs have all functionality, and recently new lecture hall was built, which was quite good and very beautiful.
Faculty: Semester exams are quite good. Faculty members teach well and are open for doubts sessions. Extra classes are sometimes taken by teachers in order to complete the syllabus. The curriculum is good, focusing on engineering skills and communication skills.

Good college with good infrastructure.
Placements: Our college had a good placement rate in every branch specially architecture, which had a 100 percent placement rate. The highest package was 3.4 Crore per year, and the lowest was 3-4 LPA. The placement states were pretty good, and almost all good companies came here.
Infrastructure: The hostel was average, not so good, not so bad. It had some issues related to the washrooms, etc., and had lots of improvements required. Here we had Wi-Fi, but it did not work properly, and the washrooms were not clean. These were some minor issues, but hostel life was good.
Faculty: Teachers were very good, especially for our branch architecture. We had very supportive teachers, and the architecture department was good. The course curriculum was the latest as per the industry. The semester examination was moderate, not very difficult, but challenging.
Other: I have chosen this branch because I have an interest in architecture.

We have a very good college. The location is perfect.
Placements: Recently, a student was placed with a 3.4 crore package, which is the highest in history. Many students got placed in named companies such as Amazon, JP Morgan, Google, etc. The average package is more than 10-15 LPA, which is good enough, and if you possess great skills, you can secure a higher package.
Infrastructure: The hostels are pretty good. The mess food is also very hygienic and healthy. Even many new hostels are being built to make the rooms more spacious and comfortable. The departments are well managed with faculty that is very cooperative. Not just academics, but other activities such as sports, art, dance, and music are taken care of.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified with great knowledge. They are always ready to share their knowledge with us. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant. The exams are conducted twice in a semester: mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. Teachers provide various resources for exam preparation, which makes the exams easier.
Other: As the college is in Himachal Pradesh, the air is very fresh there and the weather is pleasant and suitable for even outsiders.
