It is a good college to explore and upgrade yourself.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in an MBA. The highest salary package offered is 12.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, Deloitte, Cognizant, Afcons, and Capgemini. Almost 95% of students got internship opportunities in various companies that visited the campus. Top roles offered are analyst, management trainee, and sales executive.
Infrastructure: All the possible facilities and infrastructure are available for MBA course in School of Management NIT Rourkela. A good quality of hostel accommodation with value added food in the mess is available for students. Both day and night canteen is available. The campus has its own medical. It provides hospital facilities. Students can get any kind of health accommodation from the hospital and medicine stores. Sports and games and other extra curricular activities have ample amount of opportunities to students to perform on campus and even out of the campus.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful and highly qualified. They are knowledgeable persons. They passed from major institutes in India. The course curriculum is highly relevant for the management students. It makes students industry-ready. It upgrades students' skills and expertise in their respective fields. The semester exams are conducted strictly with the authorisation of the malpractice prevention team who actively participates in exam conduction. Almost 99% of students pass every semester.
Other: I chose MBA course because of my passion for the management. The best thing about this course is that we can extend our capabilities to the maximum. There are a lot of things to improve which can result in constant growth of our college. Events and fests are the best, so students can release the pressure from their hectic academic life. The campus crowd and connectivity are another strength of the department where students get connected with various fields, students, and faculty members from various departments. Students can apply for scholarships from its official scholarship portal where they can get the benefits financially.

NIT Rourkela is a like roller coaster ride. So much exciting things every day.
Placements: This institute provides many placements opportunities. Many company visits NIT Rourkela to hire MBA students. Placement scenarios of School of management, NIT Rourkela is increasing day by day. The highest CTC offer is around 12LPA, average CTC is around 6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: School of management, NIT Rourkela have great infrastructure. The entire campus is spread around 1200 acres. There are different course and department. Full Wi-Fi campus, even Hall of residence is fully Wi-Fi connected. Every thing is here like library, health care, shopping center, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members of school management are qualified from IITs, Iims, Foreign institute. Curriculum is very exploratory. We here explore many new aspects of management. Faculty members are super supportive here. They help the student to grow personally as well as professionally.

Our college is very good.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed with an average salary package of 6.5 LPA. It has improved over the past years. Top recruiting well-known companies are Deloitte, Afcons, Berger Paints, Amul, Airtel, Indus Bank, etc. Our college provides many opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners in the summer season. There is LAN connection in the hostel. Our college provides us with facilities for sports like badminton, carrom, and table. Every hall of residence has its gymnasium.
Faculty: Teachers are very much enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They always clear each doubt. They are always available during class hours. The course curriculum is well-planned. It has distributed study load through theory classes and practical labs. Around 80% of attendance is mandatory.
Other: The hostel food can be improved.

Best in terms of ROI and Brand value that you can opt for at School Of Management NIT Rourkela.
Placements: More 90% got placed in 2022, the highest CTC was 12lpa, avarage 6.5lpa. Top companies that are coming regularly - Deloitte, Tech mahindra, Amul, Berger paints and many more. Many companies are also coming for summer internship as well. It provides an holistic environment for management students.
Infrastructure: NIT Rourkela is known for its beautiful campus, great infrastructure and hostel facility is also good. It has great sports facilities and large swimming pool as well. Here everything is available inside the campus it self. Green campus of NIT Rourkela provides great ambiance.
Faculty: Many workshop are conducted in the MBA programme. Many practical exposure were also given to the students. Professor are very cooperative and they are always motivates for future growth. Library facilities is also good. Overall a great learning environment.
Other: Best in terms of ROI. Instead of going for any tyre 2, tyer 3 B-School you can opt for SOM NIT Rourkela, for a better career.

Placements: The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 8.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Our campus had a green. environment. Labs and classrooms are well-maintained. The library is air-conditioned. The LAN connection is available in libraries, classrooms, and hostels. The food served in the mess is better. Hostels are also average. Medical facilities are available 24X7.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They always solve our doubts. They are highly qualified. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum makes students ready for the industry. It helps us to gather knowledge about the corporate world. Semester exams are not difficult. We can score good marks. Students can pass with a good CGPA in the exams.
Other: This course is for 2 years. The course curriculum covers various subjects like finance, marketing, operations, and human resources. The course provides students with a strong foundation in management principles and prepares them for leadership roles in the corporate world. The admission process includes a written test, group discussion, and personal interviews. MBA course has specialisations subjects like marketing, finance, HR, and operations. Students get good quality education in this college. Various clubs are available in our college. Many tournaments are also organised in this college. I chose this course because of my interest in it. Our college has the best campus with greenery all around. Various events and fests are conducted. Our campus is very beautiful and clean. Scholarships are provided to merit students.

It is a very happening place.
Placements: 70 percent of our students have been placed in well renowned companies. The big companies like Byju's, Deloitte, Aditya Birla, Nestle, Microsoft and even the government sectors like OLM have been recruiting the greatest minds of this department. The highest package they have been providing is 12lac, average goes upto 10 lac and the least is 7-8 lac. Students is working in these companies as product analyst, business analyst, HR manager, sales manager, data analyst, market research, consultant.
Infrastructure: There is specific building for respective departments in the big area of 1200 acre of the institute. There separate hostels for boys and girls with proper Wi-Fi facility. Mess food is great with veg and non veg items. There are facilities of canteen running both day and night. According to your interests there are many clubs which conduct many functions.
Faculty: Teachers are top class with good experience and very cooperative and helpful. Exams system is very strict in case of malpractices. You need to careful. A single mistake can put you into a repeating semester batch which might impact your placements.

Stay Away! No placements! No Future! The worst Department!
Placements: NIT Rourkela School of management is one of the worst departments of the National Institute of Technology Rourkela with no placement assistance from its core placement committee. The School of management is always left behind and not given any importance when placement season comes. Even after struggling for placement, our departments were not able to bring any good companies. I remember that in our batch only 2 were placed n TCS and 1 in synchrony. Even the toppers were unplaced. Beware stay away from getting admissions in this department.
Infrastructure: Obviously NIT Rourkela is a top engineering college (But last in Management courses) so the infrastructure is decent enough as it is made to accommodate a large number of Engineering candidates. In which management students are given some rooms as they are less than 20 in the whole course.
Faculty: Only 5 total faculty in the entire department of School of management NIT Rourkela. But no one bothers in getting any company to come to the campus for MBA students. Many students have left the course in the middle of the curriculum were the lucky ones as they have saved their valuable time from getting wasted.
Other: I thought that NIT Rourkela is a good college but little did I knew that it is best among engineering colleges. When it comes to MBA college it does not come even in TIER 3 colleges.

Definitely we have good infrastructure but placement scenario is quite tough for student.
Placements: To be very honest MBA department in our institute has recently opened in our college so the placement scenario is bit tough for us but still we are trying our best in our campus drives till now as the session is not over so placements are still going on but maximum are placed the highest package offered differ from year to year as per the companies brought by our placement coordinator but on an average 800000, the offer roles are different on basis of the specialisation at first student try to find there own internship if they are unable to do so teacher do help.
Infrastructure: On basis of facilities like labs, library, medical facilities, sports games most importantly Wi-Fi, are resources are made sure that are made well available. Classroom and labs are well conducted. The quality of food is also very good weekly 4 times non veg is made available and alternative for veggies are also given and 4 times food is given to us. The rooms are very good for 1st year its sharing then from 2nd year on wards single rooms. Not yet any issues faced.
Faculty: Yes, definitely teachers are the main source of help to us they guide us in right direction they are highly qualified from well know institute of the country. Teaching methods used are blackboard we also have smart classroom as well on basis of comfort classroom occur, ratio of teacher and student is equally balanced, till now we have not been on any industrial visit.

NIT Rourkela uses a valid score in any entrance exam such as CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT for selecting the candidates for the MBA program. Applicants must have 60% or 55% in case of SC/ST in the qualifying degree to apply for the NIT Rourkela admission.

No, it's not possible. You have to appear for atleast one entrance test and should clear it as well so then only you can get admission in any B-school. This is a prerequisite to get admission in any MBA course.
