The total tuition fee of NIT Rourkela BSc programme is INR 75,000 which is to be paid over 10 semesters. Each semester a student has to pay INR 7,500 as tuition fee. However, this is not the only fee one has to pay throughout a semester. Extra costs like medical fees, student activity fee, hall establishment fee, etc. are also added in each semester.
Thus the total fees to be paid by a student is close to INR 5.93 lakh, if one adds all the costs in each semester, the average cost each semester for five years is INR 56,500 in which the first and last semester have admission fee and graduation fee, respectively.
During NIT Rourkela 2023 placements as per media reports, a total of 1,326 job offers were made as per an overall report. The highest and average package offered to the placed students was INR 83.60 LPA and INR 13.89 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters during the placements were Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.
