According to the NIT Trichy, annual report 2024, the overall placement rate stood at 85%. Over 1300 students have been placed so far. The MSc students were offered packages upto INR 27 LPA. Meanwhile, the NIRF reports have been out for 2023 on the offiicial website. So as per NIRF 2023 reports, the NIT Trichy placements recorded a median package of INR 15.76 LPA offered to its BTech graduates.
The institute has released the placement percentage for UG and PG courses. The NIT Trichy placement rate for the BTech batch 2020-24 stood at 88.90%. The overall placement rate recorded for PG courses was 88.90%.

NIT Trichy Placement Report 2024
As of 2024, the NIT Trichy placements have recorded over 1300 students who got successfully placed from various courses. The overall placement rate was 85%. Moroever, the annual report 2024, mentioned that MSc students were offered packages upto INR 27 LPA in 2024. The final reports are yet to be out, once released it will be updated here.
Earlier, in 2023, 1410 students, 809 from the UG courses and 610 from the PG courses got placed. The overall placement rate recorded was 97%. Additionally, as per the NIRF reports in 2023, the median package for BTech stood at INR 15.76 LPA. The median packages for MTech and MBA were INR 10 LPA and INR 8.70 LPA, respectively. The median packages of MArch and BArch courses were INR 6 LPA and INR 4.8 LPA. In total 226 companies visited for the hiring process. Meanwhile, in 2022, the highest package offered during the NIT Trichy placements stood at INR 40 LPA. In total 81 students got placed and 43 companies visited the campus for recruitment. The placement rate stood at 94% in 2024.
