The above review covers all aspects of NIT Trichy, how it is good, and the points where it lacks.
Placements: At NIT Trichy, the placement rate is very good. Almost everyone who appears for placements gets placed, with a placement percentage of around 85–90%. Last year, the highest package offered was approximately 65 LPA, while the lowest was 4.5 LPA. Companies that visit the college include Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and many more. For the MME branch, top recruiting company is Tata Steel. In the third year, many students secure internships, with almost 70%–80% obtaining internships in the companies mentioned above.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course, MME, are adequate but could be improved. For example, in some areas, we need more machines or additional lab technicians to conduct our labs, but these are not available, so we have to wait for our turn. Otherwise, it would have been much better. As for the hostel, it currently has all the basic facilities such as electricity, clean water, and high-speed Wi-Fi in every room. The quality of food in the mess is satisfactory.
Faculty: Teachers here at NIT Trichy are like teachers of any other college like they come read PPT and go but some of them are good. They come to teach with all the feel and answer all the doubts of the students. The curriculum is not really relevant as it is all old and outdated, it does not really make students industry-ready. We have to study for internships and placements by ourselves only. The semester exams are medium difficult, if we start studying a week before exam then it's okay to score good marks.
Other: I am really not interested in the MME course I took, I chose this course just because of the college and its placement statistics. The best thing about this course is really the peer group I am interacting with. Most of them are ambitious about their goals in life and want to achieve something from this college, which motivates me to work hard too. The syllabus of this course could have been better, more practical, and industry-oriented, then it would have been more beneficial for those who want to work in the core sector. Pragyan, Festember, Sportsfete, and Nittfest are some of the fests.

My review of NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: 90% of students got placed in the course. The highest package was 88 LPA. The lowest salary was around 7 LPA. Microsoft, Nokia, Qualcomm, etc., were the top recruiters. Internships were low because of the backlog of students. 35% of students got internships. Top role offered was manager.
Infrastructure: New hostels and academic buildings were very good, but not average, compared to the old hostels and buildings. It had good medical facilities because there was a free dispensary on the campus. Mess food was so good for the North students and below average for the South people. Campus life was good. For sports, there was a huge place. The only thing was that there was no swimming pool.
Faculty: All teachers in my college were Ph.D. holders and knowledgeable. They lack the skill to explain to students easily. Teaching methodology was very much and on labs writing work was too much especially for the electrical department compared to other departments in our college.

My College Experience in NIT Trichy.
Placements: Basically, my department is Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department (MME), and I am studying in the 1st year. But according to seniors, 84 percent of students passed from this 2024 batch, and the highest package is 52.5 LPA, with an average of 10 LPA. Some students went for MS, and some wrote GATE and joined IITs. The lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Aricent, Ashok Leyland, Honeywell, PepsiCo, Volvo, and non-core job companies like Microsoft and Wipro.
Infrastructure: First of all, this is NIT Trichy, Pride of India, but when we come to infrastructure, it is good. However, they have given less space to MME compared to other departments, and there are fewer equipment in the Chemistry labs. The library is excellent, and we should adjust to mess food because we come from different parts of India. We should not expect home food in hostels, but it is okay because there are separate messes for North Indians and South Indians. There are separate grounds for every sport, and we have a separate hospital inside NIT Trichy, which is free of cost.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are graduates from IITs and foreign universities and are knowledgeable, but most students don't understand what they are teaching. Most students learn the subject from YouTube, and they follow old methods which are not relevant for the industry. Exams are not that difficult, but it is tough to get passed in some circuital branches because of the competition.
Other: I chose MME in NIT Trichy because I chose the college over the branch. This tag is useful outside college, and we are considered special compared to others. 1) FESTEMBER 2) NIT Trichy Fest 3) PRAGYAN are the 3 main fests. By the way, they held a 15-day orientation, and you can imagine about the fests.

All about the best NIT - NIT TRICHY.
Placements: About 95% of registered students were successfully placed, and the average package was about 15 to 18 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters were Google, Facebook, Oracle, etc. in technical fields, and in non-tech/core, all the renowned companies came for on-campus placement.
Infrastructure: Our college is built on a large piece of land in the heart of Trichy, 800 acres. It has all the facilities, and our research is at par if you compare it to other colleges. All the hostels have fast Wi-Fi. It has a library, different messes for North and South, and it has a dedicated sports complex.
Faculty: All the professors hold Ph.D. degrees from IIT Madras or international degrees. They are very helpful. They support your studies and doubts, and they provide links if you want support for extracurriculars like hackathons. Every lecture is delivered in English, so it is not a problem for North Indian students.
Other: We have fests like, festember, pragyan, nittfest, and sports fest.

Great placements and faculty, average hostel and mess conditions, and harsh weather conditions.
Placements: In my course, almost 80% of students got placed this year with an average package of 9 LPA. The highest package offered was 35 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Top recruiters included Vedanta, BHEL, NPTL, HPCL, etc. Regarding internships, most students go for off-campus internships different sectors such as software, finance, management, consultancy, etc. A starting role is that of an executive engineer in companies like BHEL.
Infrastructure: Our department building has several laboratories and resources with updated facilities. Classes are well furnished, along with projectors and boards. There is a central library that contains over 100,000 books and journals. The hostel and mess facility are average, like any other government college. Same with sports facilities. Wi-fi is available at all times in hostels. Medical facilities are really good, with ambulances available at any time along with free checkups and medicine in the hostel hospital.
Faculty: Professors are really qualified, with almost all of them having at least one degree from an IIT. The course curriculum is very easy and hilly compared to other branches. We also have frequent industry visits so that we can get a real-world experience of the real world. Semester exams are moderate to difficult, with a pass percentage of 35%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to explore different domains in college and therefore wanted a course that gave me sufficient time apart from academics. Scholarships are based on annual family income. Our annual cultural fest is called Festember. The annual inter-departmental fest is NITTFEST. The annual technical fest is Pragyan.

Infrastructure: We have a separate department for our batch and there are many labs and resources with updated facilities. Professors are also very supportive regarding research in any domain. The quality of the hostel and mess are average, like any other government college, but the medical facilities are really good. You can get access to an ambulance any time and get a get a free checkup and medicine from the college hospital. Regarding sports, facilities for some sports are good, like basketball and cricket, while others, like football and hockey, are still under development. Also, you can get Wi-Fi in the hostel at all times.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified; most of them have a degree from an IIT. The curriculum of my branch is the easiest of all and really chill. We also have frequent industry visits to get real-life experience of how things work. The semester exams are of moderate level, depending on the professor too. But it's really easy to pass any course with just 35% of the of the marks required.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to explore different domains in college and thus wanted a course that was least hectic. And that's the best thing: you can get yourself involved in a lot of stuff and get to experience every bit of college life. Scholarships here are based on annual family income. We have the annual cultural fest called Festember, the annual inter-departmental fest called NITTFEST, and the technical fest called Pragyan.

Placements are the strength of NIT Trichy.
Placements: Our college is known for its top-notch placement states and last year, 90.8% of students got placed in reputed companies from our college. The highest package was 55 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and the average package remained about 12.8 LPA. There were many top recruiters visiting our college, such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft and so on.
Infrastructure: Our course offers us ample opportunities to learn and improve in various fields and we can even pursue our side hustle as we get so much extra support from the college itself. We get Wi-Fi rooms in the hostel, our labs are full of top-notch equipment that is necessary to perform different experiments. Our library contains almost every kind of book that you demand or wish to read so that is also a great point to be added.
Faculty: Our faculty members have done tier prior as well as higher education from top colleges in India as well as abroad; either most of them have done their higher studies from different IITs or some of them have done it from top universities around the globe. Our course curriculum is very easy as compared to others; we get ample time to follow our passion and to put in efforts for our side hustle. Our semester exams are also so easy that we study 2-3 nights before and get good grades.
Other: I have chosen metallurgical engineering because in this branch we have lots of opportunities in future as we can pursue our higher education from good institutes and get a good amount of money in foreign countries. There are so many fest happening here at NIT Trichy. The top 3 fests are FESTEMBER, which happens around October; NITTFEST, which happens around March; and our technical fest, which is the 3rd best technical fest in India, and that is PRAGYAN. Other than that, we have SPORTSFETE, an annual sports fest in which you can test your sports capabilities.

Satisfied with food, placements, and internship opportunities.
Placements: Many companies visit our college every year for internship programs and placements. Reputed companies visit our college and offer very good packages. Placements are the cream of what NITs have. Our college provides many internship opportunities for students. The college emphasizes practical knowledge rather than academic knowledge.
Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent and has all the facilities needed for a student. The campus is very clean and has beautiful spaces. Classrooms are also clean and equipped with projectors for presentations. Sports facilities and grounds are available for extra activities. Wi-Fi is also available in the hostel as well as in the classrooms. Canteens with good chefs are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, and all of them come from strong technical backgrounds with numerous achievements. Academics are challenging at this college, as maintaining a good GPA is demanding for students. As I did not choose a computer branch, the courses were good overall, and now I am placed in a good industry related to my branch.
Other: I chose this course because, from the very start, I wanted to become an engineer at a reputed college.

NIT-Trichy is definitely a good college among the Engineering colleges and best about the college is the peers, competitive and learning atmosphere and no matter which branch you belong, you can get placed in any of the field of your interest and choice provided you're good enough at it.

It is based on your passion. If you are interested in Mettallugy then you have to pursue that. NIT Trichy is the best among all NITs with excellent placement records. But if your passion is in Civil then go for it.

Not so good. Even though the Training and Placement department of NITT shows above 95% placement rate,it is only after going through an initial screening process called CPC'S conducted by immediate seniors of the same branch.Only about 40 out of a current batch of 60 are eligible to sit for placemen
