NLU Assam UG, PG Courses 2025

As per NLU Assam NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 5-year placements 2023 stood at INR 6.8 LPA. Further, a total of 16 students were placed and 20 students opted for higher studies out of total 70 students during UG 5-year placements 2023. Earlier, the institute has released the NIRF report 2023 on its official website. According to the NIRF report 2023,  1 BA LLB (Hons) student was placed during NLU Assam placements 2021. Further, the median package offered to BA LLB students during NLU Assam placements in 2021 was INR 7.63 LPA. As the NLU Assam NIRF report 2023, only 1 student was placed in 2021. The total number of BA LLB student who graduated and placed during NLU Assam placements 2021 are tabulated below:

NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released till round 2 for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses for various categories under both the All India and Home State quota. 

For the SC AI category, the round closing ranks ranged between 4884 and 11777, for the LLM and BA LLB (Hons) courses, respectively. Out of the two, the LLM course proved to be more competitive for admission at NLU Assam. 

The NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to the LL.M. LL.B. (Hons.) and LLM courses for round 2. The cutoff was released for various categories under both the All India and Home State quotas. 

For the OBC AI category, the cutoff ranged from 2430 to 3669, wherein the LLM course and its various specialisations were more competitive for admission. Students can refer to the table below to know the round 2 cutoff closing ranks for both courses for the OBC AI category. 

For admission to NLU Assam for the LLB or LLM course, the result of CLAT 2024 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CLAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for NLU Assam admission via CLAT counselling and seat allotment.

CLAT 2024 result contains details like the candidate's overall and sectional scores, and merit rank. Those who will qualify CLAT 2024 by meeting the required minimum cutoff as per the merit list are called for counselling process for seat allotment.

Note that for admission to the 5-year LLB or LLM courses, the candidate will have to meet the CLAT 2024 cut-off in their respective category. The CLAT 2024 merit rank list will be shared at the time of admission and seat allotments. Candidates ranked higher in CLAT 2024 merit list will be given preference during the seat allotment process.

NLUJAA offers admission to BA LLB programme is based on CLAT exam and counselling. Below-mentioned are the NLU Assam courses along with their eligibility criteria:

For admission to National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam LLM course, candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2025 counselling will be called by NLU Assam. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.

The official college website currently has not released any information regarding the placement of LLM. Details regarding the placements of BAs and LLBs are available in the NIRF report. The placement information for the 2023 graduating class is still pending in the official site. On its official website, the institute has, nevertheless, made available the NIRF report for 2023. One BA LLB (Hons) student was placed at NLU Assam placements in 2021, according the NIRF report 2023. Additionally, INR 7.63 LPA was the median package provided to BA LLB students during NLU Assam placements in 2021.

Located in Guwahati, Assam, India, National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA or NLUJAA) is a national law university. It was founded in 2009 as a public university specialising in legal education by an Act approved by the Assamese State Legislature (Assam Act XXV of 2009). The 60-acre National Law University and Judicial Academy campus is located in the Amingaon neighbourhood, a municipality outside of Guwahati City. 50% in LLB is the minimum requirement to enrol in NLU Assam's LLM programme. Candidates must have passed the LL.B. degree requirements or an equivalent test with the required scores from any accredited college or university. Applicants may also appear if they plan to take their qualifying exam in April or May of 2024.Admission to all programmes at National Law University Assam is handled online using the school's official website. Registration for the LLM programme at NLU Assam is done through CLAT for admissions. CNLU's official website is where candidates must apply for CLAT.

National Law University, Assam is well known for its BA LLB course. The duration of the course is five years. The placement details of the BA LLB batch 2023 are yet to be released on the official website. Once it is released, it will be updated here. However, the placement details of BA LLB batch 2021 is disclosed in the NIRF report 2023. During NLU Assam BA LLB placements 2021, only 1 student was placed out of the total 57 students who graduated in 2021. NLU Assam offers a total of 40 seats for admission to LLM. The admission are based on CLAT score. For admission to LLM course at NLU Assam candidates have to register through CLAT portal. The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) releases CLAT Allotment lists for admission to 22 National Law Universities in India, including NLUJAA, each year. The fifth round of CLAT Counselling has been released, and the programme has completed. According to the NLUJAA CLAT trends research conducted over the previous three years, B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) closed at 2569 in 2023, 1765 in 2022, and 1530 in 2021.
