The NLU Assam placement report is yet to be released on the official website. Once it is released, the placement rate will be updated here. However, as per the NLU Assam NIRF report 2023, only 1 student was placed out of total 57 students in 2021.

The University provides a five-year integrated course called B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course. For the first three years of school, every topic is required. But in the fourth and fifth years, students can choose from five different streams of optional subjects: Corporate and Intellectual Property Law; Administrative and Constitutional Law; Consumer Protection and Environmental Law; Criminal Law and Criminology; and International Law and Human Rights. The Semester System is used by the NLUJA. There are two semesters in each academic year, making the complete Five-Year Course divided into ten semesters.

By passing the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, the Assam government established the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). It's one of India's autonomous law schools. In 2021 the institute was ranked 20 among the law universities by NIRF. The NLUJAA offers a one-year degree curriculum in LLM and a five-year integrated course in BA-LLB (Hons). A PhD in law is also offered by the university. The 60-acre, lush, verdant campus is located outside of Guwahati in the Amingaon neighbourhood. The academic and administrative buildings, as well as the dorms for boys and girls, are located on campus.

As per NLU Assam NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 5-year placements 2023 stood at INR 6.8 LPA. Further, a total of 16 students were placed and 20 students opted for higher studies out of total 70 students during UG 5-year placements 2023. Earlier, the institute has released the NIRF report 2023 on its official website. According to the NIRF report 2023,  1 BA LLB (Hons) student was placed during NLU Assam placements 2021. Taking admission in the BA LLB (Hons) course at NLU Assam is considered a great option. The university is well-known and reputed for the Law programmes offered. Candidates must appear for the CLAT exam for admission in the university.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) begins with the process of counselling for NLUJAA admission 2023 to BA LLM course after CLAT results are declared. Mentioned below is the NLUJAA CLAT cut off 2023 for LLM:

At NLU Assam, there are 30 available seats for LLM. At the postgraduate level, NLU Assam provides a one-year LLM programme. Students may apply if they have a valid CLAT exam score and satisfy the minimal eligibility requirements. An undergraduate degree with a 50% cumulative GPA is the primary qualifying requirement, and the CLAT entrance exam is accepted. The tuition fee structure is 55 K in total. Seven specialisations in LLM courses are available at NLU Assam. Commercial law, corporate law, constitutional law, environmental law, intellectual property law, human rights and international humanitarian law, and international trade law are among the LLM specialisations.

After filling out the application form for National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam admissions, candidates must appear for the CLAT exam followed by the exam's counselling process. The university evaluates the forms of candidates and grants admission to candidates based on the CLAT marks. However, the time frame of admission confirmation has not be specified by the university. 

NLu Assam offers ‘Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme’ with the view to supporting students from economically backward classes in their pursuit of education. This scholarship helps students who are pursuing BA, LLB (HONS) five year integrated course, i.e., students of the second; third; fourth and fifth years. The scholarship will be provided to students whose family income is less than INR 8 lakh.

Candidates must hold an LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university in order to be considered for admission to LLM programmes. A Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), AILET, LSAT India, or individual entrance examinations administered by colleges are frequently included in the admissions process. During the selection process, several colleges additionally take into account personal interviews and academic records. India's LLM programmes provide a range of specialisations. Furthermore, students may be admitted straight to some universities on the basis of merit. In order to be accepted into one of the top 5 NLUs, you should score in the 95–100 range on the anticipated CLAT Cut Off 2024. To get admitted into one of the NLUs, you need to receive an entrance exam score of 80 to 85.

NLU Assam offers a total of 40 seats for admission to LLM. The admission are based on CLAT score. For admission to LLM course at NLU Assam candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2024 counselling will be called by NLU Assam through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.
