National Law University Odisha (NLUO) admission is primarily entrance-based. Admission to all its popular courses is based on CLAT. After completing the application process for CLAT , candidates need to appear for the entrance exam & qualify the same with the minimum required score. NLU Odisha Scholarships 2026
The University offers NLUO Undergraduate Scholarship for students who have scored well in the qualifying exam. Under this scholarship, candidates are awarded with a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh. The annual family income of the student should be less than Rs 5 lakh, and must have secured at least 60 per cent aggregate in HSC, to be eligible for this scholarship.

NLU Odisha is the best university of Law. It is a government-run university. BA LLB is a five-year integrated programme and its tuition fee at NLU Odisha is INR 1.20 Lacs annually. The total tuition fee is INR 6 lakh. It is a little expensive compared to other government institutes. However, if we compare NLU Odisha with other Law universities, the tuition fees are more or less similar.
Every year, the cut off marks for the NLUO LLM CLAT exam are affected due to the following factors:
- The difficulty level of the exam. In case the question paper is easy then the CLAT cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
- Total number of applications received. If the total applications received are less then the cut off is expected to be relaxed.
- Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
- Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low
- Previous year cut offs. For the top NLUs, the cut-off marks in previous years were high, therefore, only topper candidates could make it for final admissions. Fore other NLUs, the cut off marks are relatively low.
