The eligibility criteria to apply for BA LLB is Class 12 with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is CUET. Not all course admissions at NEHU University Shillong are based on CUET. BTech admissions are based on JEE Main. For various courses like BCA, BA, BSc, and others, CUET is accepted by the NEHU University Shillong. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is an all-India level entrance examination which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The competition is high so prepare well in advance to clear the CUET exams with good scores.

North-Eastern Hill University Meghalaya (NEHU) is ranked 106th by QS Ranking under the Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia category and 401-450 by QS Ranking 2024 under the Asian University Rankings. North Eastern Hill University was established in 1973 by an Act of Parliament. The university ranking is quite good. Hence, it is worth taking admission in this university in 2025. 

Admissions to NEHU Shillong is offered on the basis of merit and valid scores of accepted entrance exams. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for admission to UG level courses. Whereas, for PG level courses, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main, CUET UG/PG, CAT/MAT/AIMA and other national-level examinations suitable for the chosen course.
