College life is great with good friends and teachers, a beautiful campus, and a healthy lifestyle.

Placements: Some companies visited, and students got selected, but the number was less than expected. The university brings companies to our campus, but it is still too few for many students. HCL Tech is one of the top companies. The teachers did their best in this regard.

Infrastructure: Food quality in the hostel is okay, and the water facility is also good. But, the Wi-Fi is not very reliable. The labs use outdated computers, and the library is decent, with good books available for use. Medical facilities are also available. There are many grounds for playing games like basketball and volleyball, and students play every day.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some papers are hard and some are okay. If we just study, we will manage. The pass percentage is 40, with 20 from midterms (they take the average of two midterms), and the other 20 from assignments and quizzes. So, if we do well there, we can easily pass.

Other: IT is demanding nowadays. If they teach us to use recent technology, it will be very helpful. There are university fests for enjoyment, cleaning drives, camping, and trekking to refresh the mind.

Well maintained infrastructure with a beautiful campus and a mesmerizing weather.

Placements: The placements at this college are doubtful, yet it provides far better placements for the graduates. The placements vary from course to course and department to department; for departments like IT, the average package is 5-7 LPA and the highest goes up to 20 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college is very large, with about 1225 acres and sufficient buildings for each and every department where learners can study and do their field of interest. The hostel fees are very budget friendly and since it is a government-funded institute, the fees are also accommodating.

Faculty: The faculty team is highly cooperative and friendly in nature; they have a positive attitude while teaching and have the ability to make topics easier. The semester exams are easy to pass, depending on the department and course. The passing criteria is very simple: get 40% marks, including assignments, tests, and final exams.

Other: My course is information technology. I chose this department because my field of interest is in it, and you get a good amount of placement opportunities in this department. Fests include DJ nights, Novae Fiesta, Masquerade party, etc.

Our college has a good campus.

Placements: Around 50% of students got placed in the 2017-2021 batch. Some students opted for higher studies. There were no campus placements due to covid. Our college was in online mode for 1.5 years, and there were no on-campus placements. The placement record was average in our college.

Infrastructure: The hostel quality was quite good. The hostel fee was negligible. Wi-Fi was available all over the campus, hostels, and classrooms. Computer labs were fully equipped. Every department had its labs. There was a huge central library for the entire university.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and helpful. They were good. The course curriculum was very relevant to today's world. It included artificial intelligence, machine learning, cryptography, advanced cryptography, web technology, Java, Python, OOPM, DBMS, natural language processing, etc.

The college has really good infrastructure, and it is located in a very beautiful place.

Placements: The placement rate of our university is approximately 40%, and the average package offered is 8 LPA. A lot of new companies are coming here now compared to the previous years because of the popularity of the college lately. Companies like Samsung, HSCB, and Infosys are recruiting students from here.

Infrastructure: Our university has the best infrastructure I can imagine for a college. The campus is more than 1300 acres. The library has a good collection of books and high-speed Wi-Fi. Affordable canteens make it even more awesome. It's also a heaven for sports lovers, as there are big stadiums and auditoriums.

Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and helpful and knowledgeable of their subjects very well. The university follows the standard curriculum for every course available. Semester exams are fair with moderate to bit tough questions which you can easily answer with your classroom knowledge. The pass percentage is above 94%.

Other: The university is located in Shillong, which is the Scotland of East India. Along with your studies, you will also experience the beauty of this place every day.

Average college for B.Tech in North East India, Placement is not upto the mark.

Placements: Placement of the college is below average. Highly dissatisfied with the college Training and Placement Cell. There is an immediate need of reform the college Training and Placement Cell. Only 20-30% students of our batch got placed I. e. from off campus drives mostly.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Good hostel and classroom facilities with 24*7 Wi-Fi connectivity. But the food taste in hostels damn bad with the worst quality except dinner. There are many good canteens and restaurants available in the campus with high quality food in cheap price.

Faculty: Great curriculum ! Subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Fuzzy Logic etc. Included in our syllabus and the final projects are given to us in the field of Web Designing, IoT, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Need to improve teaching quality and effectiveness of some teachers.

Other: Good amount of scholarship provided for the students of ST, SC and OBC category. General category students also can apply for the Inhan Uday scholarship which is a special scholarship scheme for the students of north eastern region. But the college is not upto the mark for the extra curricular activities and other exposure.

A good college to start with.

Placements: I was the student coordinator of the placement cell of my batch and this time many companies came like TCS, Cognizant, WIPRO, Capgemini, Regalix, Infosys, etc. And around 40-50% got placed. During my senior batch also, the placement was good enough. The salary ranges from 3.6 LPA to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our University is awesome. The whole campus has the Wi-Fi connectivity. There are separate labs for the subjects with the LAN connection. The hostel is like our second home and you will enjoy a lot. The quality of food in the canteen was average but therw are restaurants inside the campus whkse food is reaaly very great.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college is nice. The teachers are like our feiends and are very supportive. Some of my friends got their project patented while working under different faculty members. The course they taught us from the very beginning till the end is well organised.

Review of North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.

Placements: Placements for our batch are not provided yet. The lowest salary package offered was around 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 2.5-3 LPA. The highest salary package offered was around 4.5-5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Zaloni, etc., visited here for placements. Placements are not that good here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. There are around 25 hostels now on the campus for boys and girls along with 2 international hostels for foreign students. All these hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. It also has a huge central library, which is also Wi-Fi enabled. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good. Faculty members with an excellent background are available here. They possess good teaching skills and good attitude towards students. NEHU offers a huge number of courses which are helpful for many students. Almost all the courses are available in NEHU.

Review of North-Eastern Hill University.

Placements: Placement scenario of the college is not at all good. None of the IT companies visited the campus for placements. We got only a pool campus invitation. TPC invited BPO companies every week, but none of the IT students wants to join them. There are no proper training sessions to prepare students for interviews.

Infrastructure: The campus area is huge, but the proper utilisation of space is not there. Most of the buildings are vacant as there is a lag in getting permission to open new engineering branches. Labs in the IT department are quite well-equipped. IoT Lab is utilising the fund properly.

Faculty: There are some good faculty members to guide students properly for GATE whosoever interested. Faculty members need to motivate students to take up innovative projects. They also help them to get good internships during their engineering. The course curriculum is recently updated, so I don't have much idea about the new courses.
