at Panjab University, Chandigarh

Panjab University conducts PUTHAT for admission to BHMCT and BTTM programmes. Starting with the application, interested candidates are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds (PUTHAT in this case). After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website with the names of the shortlisted candidates.  For a few courses, such as MA, BA, MLib, etc., admissions are completely based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

The highest package offered to the Engineering batch 2025 was INR 24 LPA. On the other hand, the highest salary offered to the MBA students during Punjab University placements 2025 was also INR 24 LPA.  

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Panjab University also gives UG courses, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses all in full-time basis. The University provides courses of BSc, BTech, BA, MA, MSc, MTech, and PhD programs including Business and Management Studies, Accounting and Commerce, Arts (Fine/ Visual/ Performing), Design, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences etc. The University has the courses which last between 20 days and 5 years. In addition, the fee structure of the Panjab University has such tuition fees that range between INR 160 to INR 17.6 Lakh. In conclusion, the University provides classes in a very low cost.

Minimum 65 percentage in B.A. LLB is good score and have more chances of getting better opportunities than one who scored less. You can get good Law College on India if you can score well in B.A. LLB, any how entrance exam will be considered for admission but still it adds up value. And also needed minimum 55% percentage is required to qualify in PU LLB entrance exam. Candidates are advised to note that it is required to obtain at least 35% marks to get the passing marks out of 45 in Panjab University. The PU total marks is 120 for UG exams and 75 marks for courses such as PG and B.P.
