The college and students are too good. The environment of the college is positive.
Placements: The college provides many opportunities to improve our skills and potential. Many companies come to our college for placements of students. There are many opportunities in our college. Faculty members give knowledge about placements.
Infrastructure: There are 3 computer labs in the college. It provides a good network connection. The mess in the hostel is okay. The canteen provides food at an affordable price. It has Nescafé, Verka, and juice corners in the college for students and teachers. There are sports rooms with different games.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They behave politely with students. They help every student in their studies and other activities. The question paper and passing criteria are decided by Punjab University, Chandigarh. It follows every guideline provided by PU.
Other: The college celebrates many fests. The crowd is too good in college. The college provides a scholarship at the state and central levels. It conducts extracurricular activities like a Haryana day, etc.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Govt Arts and Science College
1.6

My college feels average to me.
Placements: I am studying B.Sc. Chemistry. There are 24 students in the department. It is a government college, so most students receive financial support through scholarships. Company placements are not discussed. IMAT is the final stage of the course, so internships are conducted during this period. The top roles offered include food safety department roles, forensic science, chemist positions, etc.
Infrastructure: As I am studying B.Sc. Chemistry, we need labs, which are only about 50% okay, with limited equipment. Wi-Fi is available only on the ground floor. The classrooms are spacious, but the library is poor, as it is usually closed even though it is a single room. Food availability is good. Currently, there is no hostel facility, and medical facilities are poor. Sports and games are also not very engaged in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. As I reach the final year, it is a good quality education. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exam is not too difficult. 90% pass is going on, but from the other department, they are having low percentage passes.
Other: I chose it because I love the subject, because I love to be in labs, and do all the stuff about Chemistry. I think the base that I lost during the corona period, I need to improve my education during those times. Several events are held, but the campus surroundings are poor.

M.Sc. in Information Technology - Batch of 2025
Offered by Goswami Ganesh Dutta S.D. College

It has excellent campus infrastructure, but poor placements.
Placements: The placement scenario for our batch has been quite underwhelming. Regarding internships, the college assistance is minimal and most students have to find internships on their own without much guidance from the placement cell. The packages offered are generally on the lowest side.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is undoubtedly the strongest aspect of the college. There is a well stocked library with Wi-Fi. The reading room is great for self-study. The canteen food is quite decent but not so good. Students also get medical and sports facilities to use.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. They often go out of their way to assist students with their doubts. The course curriculum is average enough to make students career ready, but it can definitely be improved with more modern industry relevant projects.

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2030
Offered by Chandigarh College of Architecture

Good facility and infrastructure, but quite a complex culture.
Placements: Architecture is mainly business-oriented, not like we need jobs, but internships are really good, as far as this college, it is really good, and also, as you can opt for foreign internships, like 50 percent of students receive scholarships, which are out of India, and the rest in good states.
Infrastructure: Good facility, but girls' hostel and boys' hostel still are very misogynistic, but at least there are non-sharing rooms plus the area of hostel is posh, so no harassment, but ragging of hostels is still tolerated by students of 1st year without the warden knowing.
Faculty: The pass percentage is 50 percent in internals as well as the exam, so it's quite difficult, but it's fine, if it's good, we get a good score and learn new things. Also, attendance of 75 percent is compulsory. Teachers are really cool, but 1-2 of them are really favouring students.
Other: The college is good, and the college culture is quite complex, but it's fine.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology - Batch of 2029

Great faculty who are highly qualified and experienced. Provides comfort to the students.
Placements: The following course is an upcoming field, and our university provides 100 percent placement or other higher opportunities. Not sure about the highest or the lowest packages, but we have some great personalities like Dr. Hargobind Khurana as our alumni. Best university.
Infrastructure: The department is well built, clean, and has all the required facilities. The labs are also well developed and have every instrument along with helpful lab assistants. The hostel also has every facility, like stocked shops. University campuses have a separate gym for women and a swimming pool as well.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified and experienced. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are purely based on knowledge and thinking about the course. Exploring the course makes the student industry-ready. The university prepares the student to survive in the outer world.

B.E. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2029
Offered by University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University

You can enjoy your college life because of the crowd, but the course is not that good.
Placements: Placements regarding biotechnology is low; about average is 6 LPA and medium is 4.5 LPA. Talking about the students placed, it is about 70 percent. Internships are not offered from our college, but you can hustle and get it on your own. The percentage of students who get internships is also low, around 30-40 percent.
Infrastructure: In our hostels, basically PU hostel are very bad, you cannot live there. Wi-Fi speed is okay, but it is not frequently working. Food is also not that good, it's very average in the mess and in the canteen as well. Sports are very good, there are many facilities available for sports persons. Department teachers are well-know of teaching of the subject and labs are pretty decent.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, they are well knowledgeable and they help us every time you raise questions. For the course, I will give it 3 stars, that's very average and it’s not an industry-ready curriculum. Difficulty of exams is not that hard, they have very good exams, not too easy, not too hard. Pass percentage is like 50 percent.
Other: Best things about my course is there are so many athletes and sports facilities. Infrastructure should be improved and the canteen is very small.
