Yes, Periyar Maniammai University offers scholarship to deserving and meritorious students. Scholarships for each candidate will be decided based on the marks scored in Class 12 and in JEE or equivalent or PMIST Entrance Test for BTech programmes (Up to INR 1.8 lakh). For the BCom, BA, BBA, B.Ed, BSc programmes it will be based on the marks scored in Class 12 and the PMIST Entrance Test. (Up to INR 15,000) The sanctioned scholarship will be given throughout the programme subject to the conditions that the student should have an all pass and a minimum of 80% attendance in the previous academic year. Periyar Maniammai University students are eligible to apply for scholarships under various categories. Yes, PMIST (formerly knows as PMU) reserves 5% of the total BTech seats for candidates belonging to NRI category. Additionally, the university reserves 15% of the seats over and above the approved intake (Supernumerary Seats) are reserved for Foreign Nationals/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries.
