It is really a good option because the professors focus more on practicals than theory.
Placements: I got placement at a news channel. My batchmates got placements in very good news channels. Almost every student got placement, and each one got a position at a well-reputed place. The highest package was 6 LPA at a reputed news channel, and now she is in a good position there.
Infrastructure: It was amazing. It was a huge campus, and the library was also very huge. Every single book was available there. One of my friends was in the hostel. She told me that the washrooms were always clean, and the food quality was good. It was like home. The wardens were also friendly.
Faculty: Teachers were amazing. We had our studio where we practiced anchoring and debates that prepared us for the future. They were always more focused on practical work. They gave us field tasks to conduct interviews and debates, which were really helpful and made us more confident.
Other: I wanted to become an anchor, so I chose this course. We never got a chance to make news about the bad side of the university. The fees were not that high. The campus was really good.

Crazy campus Life, low study stress.
Placements: I have given 2 stars in case of placements because placements are not done properly in our course. A few of the students get recruited via teachers references, whereas others, vice versa, have to find jobs by themselves. I must say our alumni are most connected to the tour department, and teachers can actually help us get into the good institutions like Indian Express, local Punjab channel, AIR, and web channel.
Infrastructure: Our department is good, they have 2 Studios. One has a teleprompter, cameras, and a recording studio, while the other one is audio studio for recording audio and podcasts. But the infrastructure is not as much as required for the course. The media department needs more infrastructure. While the university in general is very good, they have Wi-Fi all over the campus. A big library and reading room on the campus. Every hostel has its own reading rooms. Mess food is affordable, and canteen food is amazing and affordable. Campus Life is amazing.
Faculty: All teaches are helpful and knowledgeable and the teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant for media exams and UGC NET, and they have started their own newsletter recently, which helps students to participate in article writing and designing. Semester exams are not tough, and like another government university, you need 33 percent to pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course to get qualified for further media exams. The best thing about this course is that it does not limit you, unlike other courses, but gives wings to your creativity. I want my course to be more practical than theoretical. Events like book fest, youth fest, and theatre fest regularly happen in the university. Campus Life is great, and the friends you make there are for life. And the scholarship is provided to SC and ST students.
