A review on UIT RGPV College.

Placements: Honestly, I would like to tell that there are no companies for any other branches except CS and IT. A person from the civil or mechanical branch can sit in these companies, but no company related to specific branch like the civil or mechanical comes to the college. So, after doing the civil engineering, you can go for a software company job, which is ridiculous.

Infrastructure: We have poor infrastructure, but the library is good. You can see the real government college here, and sometimes you even can't find drinking water in your department. The college premises is quite large, and if the money is properly utilised, then it will become a very good college.

Faculty: There are no sufficient faculty members in my department. The temporary teachers are more and only focus on the theory part. The practical part, which is the important one, is left miles behind. The course is good, and you can learn pretty much if you complete the full course. Honestly, along with the theory, practical part is also important.

Good college to expose yourself.

Placements: The college has good placements for CS and IT students. About 80 percent of the students are placed and same as EC, but for the civil, electrical, and mechanical student, they got placement in IT company only, because very few companies come for core and they take few students only. TCS come every year, and they take about 200-300 students. Some more IT companies come like Infosys and offers the package of 3-4 lacs per annum. Some companies give high packages of 7-10 lacs per annum likes Mu- sigma.

Infrastructure: The college has the very good infrastructure. All the facilities are good, but hostel facility is not available for all, but some people take admission in this. The Wi-Fi is available, but the speed is available at some places are good, and the library is a central library, so all facilities are there. The playground is also there, but only few tournament is going on there.

Faculty: The teachers are permeant and have the very good knowledge. They provide good guidance, and guest faculty members are less knowledgeable. The student to teachers ratio is 20:1. They use black-board to teach. The quality of teaching is good. There is no industry exposure. The lab experiments are very less.

Other: Very few events are organised in this college. If you are eligible for scholarships, then your fee is very few.
