Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology is known for its Undergraduate programs and the university offers BSc (Hons), BTech and BVSc programmes each for a period of three-years.

Applicants need to be eligibile for getting admission. The eligibility criteria for candidates are required to give the UPCATET entrance exam.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2002. It offers various courses like BTech, Mtech, M.Sc, M.V.Sc, B.Sc., B.V.Sc. The duration of these courses varies from 2-5 years depending upon the course like wise the fee also varies. B.E or B.Tech fees varies from 92 Lakh to 1.5 lakh pa. SVPUAT Cutoff with their category are:

- General: 320-330

- SC: 290-300

- ST: 270-280

- OBC: 300-310

UPCATET is a state level exam conducted by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology. The counseling for the UG courses in SVPUAT will be conducted by UPCATET especially in Agriculture, Economics & Mgmt.

Eligibility: For admission to the B.Tech. (Biotechnology), the candidate must have completed 10+2 level in PCB/ PCMB with English as a subject along with 50% aggregate.

SVPUAT Meerut admissions are entrance-based. The university accepts UPCATET and ICAR AIEEA for admission to UG and PG courses. To get admitted to the Agricultural University Meerut, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme must be Class 12 passed from a recognised board in Agriculture Science/ Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ PCM/ PCMB. 

Applicants who want to prepare and qualify UPCATET exam in first attempt must have a concrete plan and then execution becomes important to qualify it. The UPCATET exam is held once in year hence candidates preparing for the exam must complete their syllabus in advance at least 3 months before the commencement of exam.

• Candidates need to ensure that they are completing the practise paper less than the given time in examination, which will eventually boost their confidence to attempt the paper within time in the examination hall.  

The application fee is required to be paid after filling the form. otherwise the form will not be accepted by the authorities. This year updated fees will be mentioned in UPCATET 2026 notification but according to previous year details, male candidates from General & OBC category have to pay INR 1350 while all other male & female candidates have to pay INR 1100 application fees. 

The application fees need to be paid online via Debit card, Credit card, Net banking etc. Once the fee is paid students are required to download the receipt of fees as some time due to any error if their candidature is rejected then they can raise their concern along with payment proof.
