Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers BE/BTech courses with a duration of 4 years. Admission to this course is based on JEE Main scores and it is not possible to get admission to SMVDU Katra without JEE Main or CUET UG.

Along  with this a lot of courses are offered by this university and all have different eligiblity and criterias. All applicants have to fill the Common Application form through ONLINE Mode for admission in UG and PG programmes.The candidates will be submitting an appication fee of Rs. 1,500/- while filling the ONLINE Application Form.

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc Hons at SMVDU must fill out the SMVDU BSc Hons application form available on the University's website for the academic year 2024. Given below is the SMVDU BSc Hons application process:

• Step 1- Register by clicking on the "New Registration" tab and fill out the application form.
• Step 2- Verify the account with the help of an OTP sent to the registered email of candidates and, then log in to the portal. 
• Step 3- Complete the application by providing personal, guardian, educational details, upload a photograph and, signature.
• Step 4- Save the application or submit and lock the profile.
• Step 5- Candidates must select BSc Hons and pay the SMVDU BSc Hons application fee 2024 of INR 1,500.

Candidates who finally get the final admission to BSc Hons at SMVDU are also required to attach the documents required by the admissions committee of the University and send to the concerned Admission Committee’s email id. Candidates seeking admission to BSc Hons at SMVDU are required to pay SMVDU BSc Hons application fee of INR 1,500 for the academic year 2024. The application fee submitted can only be paid using online method of payment. 

Candidates seeking admission to BSc Hons at SMVDU cannot get direct admission to the programme as the University and its affiliated institutes only accept the scores of CUET UG for SMVDU BSc Hons admissions. The admissions are entirely entrance-based for all the undergraduate programmes. 

Candidates who wish to take admission to the BSc Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for an entrance examination. The University and its affiliated colleges accepts the scores of CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BSc Hons course admission.

SMVDU conducts application process in two-phases. For Phase 1, the last date of closing of application forms for BTech / BArch / MSc/ MA courses is in May.  For BTech/BArch/BA/BSc/BBA, the opening date of application forms for Phase 2 are available estimately after 15 days of the declaration of results.
