SMVDU: Where learning meets nature.

Placements: Here at SMVDU, most students got placed. In the case branch, the average package is 5 to 6 LPA, and the highest this year is 32.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are Wipro Accenture, Zscaler Vi, L&T, TCS, etc. Students have to do internships in the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters; it is compulsory.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good on the campus, which is 474 acres. The campus has Wi-Fi in all areas, classes, labs, and a central library. The food is also better in SMVDU. There are two girls' and five boys' hostels. It has its central gym for boys and girls. You are provided full medical assistance in the hospital. All the bills are paid by the university. It has all the sports facilities.

Faculty: All the teachers are well experienced and qualified in their domain and subject. Professors also use PPTs for a better understanding of concepts and provide lab assistance. The industry-based course is followed to help students. Semester exams are of good level and relative marking in the result is followed.

Placements are bad, rare fests, great restrictions on girls, not worth it.

Placements: I am a B.Tech computer science student, I'm passing out in 2025. Around 30%-40% of students got placed but almost half of them were placed in marketing where the companies were offering Rs. 20,000 per month. Other than that Infosys offered 3.5 LPA, Accenture offered 4 LPA, Range offered 5 LPA, and Cognizant offered 3.5 LPA, 5.5 LPA, and 6.7 LPA (results haven't been disclosed yet). The highest package was offered by Forbess Marshal, which is 7.8 LPA but it selected only 1 student from CSE. The placement has been worsening year by year here and it's not worth it. The location of this for placement is also not good.

Infrastructure: Hostels are just fine like the hostels are supposed to be. There's Wi-Fi available here but you cannot rely on it, there are frequent shutdowns, apart from that websites like Quora are banned on the university Wi-Fi. Classrooms are fine but you can expect the projectors to not work. Initially, the classes for CSE were held in a lecture theatre which has the facility AC and projectors working there but later on, they were shifted to classrooms. Library is fine, equipped with AC and you can find books related to your course. Labs are pretty outdated.

Faculty: Teachers are fine and lenient. You cannot expect all of them to be good but they are just fine. The course content however I'll say is pretty outdated, it definitely won't make you industry-ready. You can get a good grade by studying 1 night before the exam, to pass you need to have at least 33 marks in the subject out of 100, which is pretty easy. Exams are checked by subject teachers.

Other: I would not recommend you to join this college unless you are a local. The crowd is not good, the university spends the least it can for extracurricular activities. Campus surroundings are just like semi-developed villages, there are a lot of unnecessary restrictions, especially on girls. Fest are conducted once a semester if you are lucky. For connectivity you can use auto, metadors are also there but they are overcrowded and their frequency is low.

If you think that you'll manage out and you can study hard then WELCOME TO SMVDU.

Placements: Placement here in my college is just average, maximum strength get placed but not on a very decent package. Highest package in the year 2024 was 19 LPA and average was around 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies which came was TCS, BHEL, Orange etc.

Infrastructure: There is one central library, in which you can go and study or you can issue any book. Wifi is available everywhere in the campus, There are 4 lecture theatre available in my campus. Hostels are also good, canteen are open till 8 pm. Don't expect that you're going to get a very awesome food from the mess. There are courts available for sports, indoor badminton court or one sports complex and other games are also available.

Faculty: I chose this college because I was getting CSE branch, and placement here is decent. However you'll not get a very good exposure from here, but if you don't have any choice left and you are interested in CSE, this college will be a good shot. Academics here is good and faculties are also helpful. Here one mid-semester and major exams occur.

Good infrastructure, faculty, extracurricular activities, and fests, but there is compromise in food

Placements: I am a B Tech CSE 2nd-year student, and there are about 100 to 110 students in every CSE batch. About 75-80% of students get placed every year from our university. Companies like mass recruiters and others offer an average package of 8 to 9 Lacs per annum, with the lowest package being 3 Lacs and the highest 28 Lacs, as per provided information, but there is more than that. Summer internships are provided by the university to students as per their interest.

Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of the university is very good and worth the amount. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available to every student, and there are separate labs for different work. A large library with more than 50,000 books is available for everyone's interests. Classrooms are spacious and comfortable. Hostel rooms are in good condition with all-day light and Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is somewhat compromising, not that good. Every sport is available in this university, with specific grounds for each game except shooting and swimming.

Faculty: The faculty in this university are very cooperative and helpful for students, and they are highly qualified as well. They assist in clearing doubts and support students in difficult conditions, except for some faculty members. This university prepares students for all conditions. Semester exams are not tough; they are between easy and moderate level. The pass percentage is 95-97%.

Other: I chose B Tech CSE because I am interested in computer-related things and want to pursue my education in CSE. This course offers the highest packages in the university. The best thing is the packages of CSE, which are good compared to others. Various events take place in our university from time to time, with separate events for sports and other activities. Scholarships are available for JEE students based on rank for a period of time, and they can receive it for the entire degree duration.

Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.

Placements: In my college, everyone gets placement in the Computer Science branch, and many students go for higher studies. The average package of CSE this year is 7-8 LPA, with the highest package being 17 LPA and the lowest 4 LPA. Every student gets an internship, and a few secure internships on their own.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college, and the infrastructure of our college is good. In my college, there is CSE, ECE, Electrical, Civil, Biotechnology, and Mechanical branches. The library is available. There are 6 total hostels, 4 for boys and 2 for girls. The mess food is too bad. There are so many clubs and equipment provided for sports.

Faculty: Teachers make very difficult papers. They are highly educated and qualified with M.Tech from IIT, NIT, etc. Seniors are very supportive. They help in developing skills and provide a base. Some professors are supportive, some didn't support. The 75% criteria in our college is not good for us.

Other: As I have interest in coding, I chose the CSE branch. Events happen every month. Yes, in our college, the fest happened very big.

I've got 80% in +2 and got 112 marks in JEE Mains, can I get a seat for ECE or CSE at SMVDU?

You might get admission in last few rounds in non core branches but it totally depends on your exact rank. Also, explore your other options in premier private colleges to have a better option. All the best.

No chance fortune will be yours if you get your board marks are very low and even in jee you are not even qualifying cut off of ST that was 48 more over you may not get good private college because they also take on basis of 12th marks and to get in good college you must have at least 70 percent i
