Q:   What are the cutoff marks required for B.Tech?
A:

For students in the general category, the average will be approximately 170-199, while for those in the SC/ST group, the cutoff may be between 160 and 180. Because of differing levels of demand and competition, each B.Tech specialisation has a separate cut-off mark. For instance, the cut-off for Computer Science Engineering is usually higher than that for Civil Engineering. Cut-off scores vary across colleges because of their varying reputations and availability of resources.

Compared to less reputable institutions, elite universities like Anna University have noticeably higher cut-offs. The cutoff scores for reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, are typically lower than those for the general category. The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank, which is determined by combining the results of the TNEA entrance test with the class 12 maths, physics, and chemistry grades, is the main factor used to determine B.Tech admissions in Tamil Nadu.

Q:   What are the entrance exams accepted by Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University Uttarakhand?
A:

Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University Uttarakhand admission is based on NEET UG, NEET SS, Uttarakhand NEET exams. The institute releases the cutoff lists separately for these exams, for admisison to various courses. For instance, for MBBS admission, the exams accepted are NEET and Uttarakhand NEET.

Q:   Can I join Swami Rama Himalayan University directly?
A:

Unfortunately, direct admission to Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) without going through the application process doesn't usually happen. The procedure for accepting students at SRHU is very well-defined; fair and merit-based selection. SRHU's programs are mostly filled through the JEE Main and other centralized admission systems such as state-level engineering entrance examinations for B.Tech or NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) national admittance test for medical studies.

SRHU, with a relatively smaller student body than larger institutions of higher learning, may lack seats in each program. PerhapsSRHU follows internal policies and regulations set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or other regulatory bodies, which do not allow direct admissions outside of normal procedures. Submit your application online or offline by the designated time frame.

Commonly asked questions
On All Courses
Q:   Is Swami Rama Himalayan University good for MBA?
A:

For MBA, Swami Rama Himalayan University is great. The MBA programme offered by SRHU mingles yoga, meditation and personal development into its coursework. It produces people who are well-balanced and ready to face the pressures of business mentalities in today 's world. The programme places strong emphasis on practical skills and industry experience with internships, guest lectures by business people in the field; coupled with certificates issued directly from relevant industries. With smaller MBA classes than most other larger institutions, SRHU gives its students personal attention and faculties. While other private universities in India charge high fees, MBA at SRHU is economical.

SRHU's MBA programme has fewer alumni connections and networks than established business schools. For those who only want traditional business academics and placements, SRHU's focus on personal development may seem a bit of an irrelevance. Now, SRHU provides a general MBA programme in which you may not choose your specialization.

A great university with good placements, supportive faculty members and good infrastructure.

You will feel good when you join this college, but later, you won't feel so.
Placements: As this is a new college, so it doesn't have good companies contacts such as IBM, Wipro, Infosys, but it has a wonderful contact on the small-scale industries, and they provide enough placements, where you can gain some experience for your future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is perfect being a deemed university, and there is a collaboration of hospital. The campus has the perfect location all round in the valleys. The campus has proper studying environment and lecture halls. It is the best for the Diploma students because they are being trained on toes machine, which the engineering students are working with a positive point for them.
Faculty: There is no comparison in the field of faculty members. As told earlier being a new college, it is focused more to provide the best knowledge to the students rather than just giving a bonded placement for six months or 1 year, and it has well-paid faculty members. The college has extra caring teachers, who all are working together for a single motive that is to have students being passed out with perfect knowledge. They are cooperative, caring, understandable, and fun seekers too.
Other: There is lack of fests and other seminars due to less students, but the extracurricular activities are on the peak. Cultural functions, competition, sports days(the best part) and more to go on the campus.

There were bad placements on campus.
Placements: The placements in this college were not as good as expected. There was a fake placement of mine in Chandigarh, and that's why I want to say as a study point this college is okay, but from the placements perspective, it's not good. So, I recommended you take the admission after taking care of both the things of placements and studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good, all labs very there with a nice lab assistant. It was fully Wi-Fi enabled campus with a good medical and library facilities. Also, the classrooms were quite good. Quality of food is like a 5-star hotel. Hostel rooms are also good enough. I didn't feel any issues regarding the infrastructure in my college.
Faculty: All the faculty members were good. Every time they used to support us. Their teaching method was also good as the teachers focus on every student. The ratio of faculty to the student is also 1:60, which is good. The teachers used to explain on the board and projectors also. I didn't get industrial exposure here.
