Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology admissions 2025 are open for UG, PG, and PhD courses. Interested candidates can enroll in their desired course by visiting the official institute's website. A few more updates are as follows:
- The NEET UG 2026 registration has started for admission to MBBS, BDS and other courses. The last date to register is Mar 8, 2026. Also, the NEET UG exam 2026 is going to be held on May 3, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

With 87% in Class 12, getting ECE at Thapar University is unlikely through board-marks alone.
ECE admissions are mainly based on JEE Main rank, while Class 12 marks are only for eligibility.
In board-merit rounds, ECE cutoffs usually go 93–95%+ PCM.

MBA eligibility is NOT based on your IPE/AP (12th) marks. For the MBA (including Business Analytics & Big Data) at Thapar University, the university requires a bachelor's degree with minimum marks — not 12th/Intermediate (IPE/AP) scores.
