To enter in research or academics, one compulsorily needs to have government competitive exams (UGC-NET, SET, BET, BINC, GATE) cracked for getting your monthly stipend ahead for research work.

My college is the best in the world.
Placements: 80% students are placed in my course. Amazon, Iser, Infosis, etc. We are recruiting companies for my course. 80% students got internships from my course, and from Infosis companies for my course. The Top roles of my course are to analyse data and create a 30000 package of my course.
Infrastructure: My department has all the facilities and infrastructure, such as Wi-Fi, a lab, pc, a classroom, and a teacher. My college hotel is very nice because the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very good, and games and sports are available in the hostel. My college hostel is better than other colleges.
Faculty: My college semester exam is both easy and hard. Teacher are the best and their knowledge is very fast and the teaching quality is very good. I am very lucky because my college is tc college my college is best as compared to other colleges. Teachers are like mom and dad.
Other: I am choosing statistics because I am handling data, such as future forecasting.

It has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are great. The placement cell is active and brings in reputed companies for recruitment. Many students get placed in IT, finance, and core sectors with decent salary packages. Internships and training are also supported. However, placements largely depend on students' performance and skillset.
Infrastructure: The library, labs, and classrooms are good. The college offers excellent yearly facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, computer labs, libraries, sports grounds, and cultural events that support overall student development. Regular workshops and seminars are also conducted. The canteen provides clean, tasty, and budget-friendly food with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Hygiene and quality are well-maintained throughout the year.
Faculty: The teaching staff members are the best. They are highly qualified, experienced, and supportive. They use practical examples and modern teaching methods to make learning effective. Faculty members are approachable and always ready to help students with doubts and guidance. Regular assessment and feedback help track student progress.
Other: All events are organised here.

    Dissatisfied because of bad placements.
Placements: Only 1 student from our course got placed. The average package offered is 6 LPA. Roles offered as statistician, data analyst, etc. Top recruiting companies are Navikenz, CodeTech, and Persullence, but it is not helpful. Very few students placed.
Infrastructure: Our college has its own library and study hall. Students have access to both. Students can take books from the library by registering with their identity card. Labs have laptops in a well-mannered ways and have Wi-Fi in department. Classrooms are in good condition.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful and give practical knowledge. Every teacher in our department has either qualified for a set exam or completed a Ph.D. in their respective fields. Teaching quality is good. Teachers help students solve their doubts. Exams are quite difficult, but the pass percentage is above 90%.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: It was very good. Many multinational companies came for placements, and offers were also good. But, the college didn't have a very strong placement record overall, it was average. The percentage of students getting placed each year was about 40%. Companies that visited the college included Infosys and others. The average package was 2–3 LPA.
Infrastructure: I resided at my home, so I commuted to the college daily and did not know about the hostel facilities provided.
Faculty: Passing through the pandemic year in such a difficult scenario could have been the reason for my attraction towards the microbiology subject. There was one teacher for every 60 students. Teachers were highly educated and very good at explaining even the smallest details. Exams were as tough as one could imagine, and for every student, it was always hard to pass. Faculty members in the college were really good at teaching, well-qualified, and had good teaching experience. They held M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees and were good at interacting with students. It provided more research opportunities and was well aligned with the current requirements. There was relevance to current affairs, and they offered strong support to students in that aspect. Exams were well-oriented and as per requirements.

    M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2026
    4.2
    4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
    The chemistry department is good.
Placements: 30% of students are placed throughout the biochemistry course for their careers. The highest package in biochemistry is 7 LPA. Sun Pharma, EMCure, PW, and Allen are recruiting here. 100% of students have internships this year in both industrial and research institutes. Researchers and pharma experts are the main roles of the biochemistry course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, a library, a very large lab, and well-furnished classrooms are available in the department. Hostel facilities are good, with 4-sharing rooms available. Washing machines are available for clothes and bed sheet washing. Several messes are on campus, and their food quality varies, but generally, decent veg and non-veg options are available. There is a health center in the department. The campus has good sports and recreational facilities.
Faculty: Professors are very experienced and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent. Yes, this course follows NEP. Many industries hire students from here. Semester exams are not very difficult, but average papers do occur. The pass percentage for SPPU is 50% internal and 50% external, with an overall passing mark of 40%.
Other: I am a chemistry student eager to gain experience in biochemistry and life sciences. The department has a large library, and the lab facilities for books are among the best in the course. For career purposes, we can become good researchers through this course. I think chemistry is underrepresented in this curriculum; adding more chemistry would improve understanding. The department hosts three events annually, and many scholarships are available for students.

I will say college is very good and knowledgeable institute.
Placements: Almost 70% of students are placed in biochemistry for jobs. The highest package in my course is 4.7 LPA and the lowest is 3.1 LPA. Sun Pharma, Serum, Cipla, and many education companies are recruiting from my course. This year, 10 out of 20 students secured internships in biochemistry at Thermax, Cross Life Science, and some water treatment companies. The top roles available include scientists and researchers, with pharmaceutical companies seeking lead scientists.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is good. The biochemistry lab is the largest in the department and very spacious. There are two biochemistry labs. The department library is excellent, with many knowledgeable books available. The hostel facilities are also good. Regarding the mess, I would say some aspects are good while others are not. There is a large health center on the university campus with amazing facilities. The sports grounds are extensive, and there’s a badminton gym available. Games will be played in February and March each year, and many tournaments take place.
Faculty: The biochemistry teachers are very helpful and qualified. Their teaching quality is impressive. Some guest faculty members are not as effective, but we can address this with the head of the department. The course curriculum is fully relevant to the industry and all types of jobs. The semester examinations are generally medium difficulty—not too easy, but not overly hard either. 50% of the final grade is based on external assessments and 50% on internal assessments. The passing mark is 40%.
Other: I was originally a chemistry student, but in my last semester of graduation, I developed an interest in biochemistry, which led me to switch fields. Biochemistry is a highly informative course with a lot of potential. I believe some boundaries should be established for this course, and additional chemistry content should be included in the biochemistry curriculum. There are 3 big events in the department: freshers, farewell, and 5 days fest. The campus is very big and there are many people and departments on the campus. Connectivity is good. The surroundings of campus are also good but that is mostly some distance from campus.
