I suggest you think twice to take this subject if you are from English medium background.

Placements: Less than 1% of students get placed here. Mostly, students get employed in the government sector or in an archaeological survey of India and involve in research work. As we all know, Ancient Indian history is not a job oriented subject or discipline. This subject teaches you about the glories past of India.

Infrastructure: Our college does not provide Wi-Fi, lab and library in our department. There are 2 other libraries named Cyber and Tygore on the campus, which are quite good. In the libraries, you will get PCs, Wi-Fi and a good environment.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowlegdable, but they do not help much. I would rate 6 out of 10 for their teaching quality. The pass percentage in our department is 75%. In LU, the exam is in a semester pattern. In the odd semester, multiple-choice questions are asked, and even the semesters are descriptive. If you belong to the Hindi medium, then the faculty members are the best. If you are from the English medium, then you have to study on your own.

Other: I have chosen this course because I want to know about ancient art, culture, study, religion and ancient kings, especially Ashoka, which fascinated me the most to study this subject. I want to change the syllabus. The teaching should not be in a silos manner, and it should be in a holistic manner.

It is a very good university with very good facilities.

Placements: I heard from B.Tech students that the placements for them were average. Placement also depend on your skills.

Infrastructure: The hostel of Lucknow University is very good. You must know that hostel life here is different. Hostel facilities are good. There are good classrooms.

Faculty: The curriculum is the same as any other college or university. There may be some major changes, but it is almost the same. Exams are conducted as per the university norms.
